Requirements & Prerequisite

Gather the following items before you begin setup. Tick each one as you get it.

Unboxing & Initial Setup

Step 1 of 5 Take printer out

Open the box fully and lift the printer upward with support from both sides.

  1. Take the printer out of the box.
  2. Take out all the accessories and remove the packaging.
  3. Remove and discard the protective tape from outside and inside.
  4. Connect the power cord to turn the printer on.
  5. Install the toner cartridges.
  6. Load paper into the paper trays.

Canon G6000 setup on Windows

  1. Turn on your Canon G6000 printer and ensure it’s connected to your Wi-Fi network.
  2. Download the drivers from the bottom of the page
  3. Run the installer and choose “Wireless LAN Connection” during setup.
  4. Select “Connect via wireless router” and follow the on-screen instructions.
  5. If the printer is not yet on Wi-Fi, use the Easy Wireless Connect method:
  6. Press and hold the Wi-Fi button until the power light flashes, then follow setup prompts on PC.
  7. The installer will detect the printer—select it and complete installation.
  8. Once installed, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers to confirm it’s listed.
  9. Print a test page to verify successful setup.
