Driver Installation

2. Run the installer and follow the on-screen prompts.

Connection Setup

• USB Connection:
  1. Connect the printer to your Mac using a USB cable.
  2. Open System Preferences > Printers & Scanners > Add (+).
  3. Select the G2420 from the list or add it using its IP address if prompted.

Usage

• Use Canon software or macOS tools like Preview for printing.

The Canon G2420 does not support direct printing from iOS devices due to its USB-only connectivity. To print from iOS:

• Use a computer connected to the G2420 as an intermediary.
• Share the printer via the computer and use AirPrint software such as HandyPrint or Printopia.

The Canon G2420 does not natively support Android due to its USB-only connection. To print from Android:

• Connect the printer to a computer, and share it with the Android device over the network.
• Use Google Cloud Print or a similar app, if available, to facilitate the printing process.

The Canon G2420 has limited support for ChromeOS. You can attempt the following:

1. Connect the printer to a computer that shares printing capabilities with your Chromebook.
2. Alternatively, use a USB adapter to connect the printer directly to your Chromebook (if supported by the OS).

Usage

• Print documents directly from Chrome or Google Docs by selecting the shared printer.
