Since the G2730 is a wired printer, you must use a USB-B to USB-A cable.

1. Preparation: Do not plug the USB cable into the computer until the installer prompts you to do so.
2. Download Drivers: * Visit the link below
   • Search for “G2730” and download the Driver & Software Package.
3. Installation:
   • Windows: Run the .exe file. Follow the on-screen instructions. When asked for the connection method, select USB Connection.
   • macOS: Open the downloaded .dmg file. Canon uses AirPrint technology for most modern Macs via USB, but you may still need the “IJ Scan Utility” for scanning.
4. Finalize: Once the software is installed, plug in the USB cable. The computer should recognize the printer immediately.

• iOS (iPhone/iPad):
  • iOS support for wired USB printing is very limited. While some specialized apps exist, the G2730 is primarily designed for PC/Mac use. Mobile printing is significantly easier on the Wi-Fi-enabled version (G3730).

1. Plug the printer into the Chromebook’s USB port (use an adapter if your Chromebook only has USB-C).
2. Open Settings on your Chromebook.
3. Go to Advanced > Print and Scan > Printers.
4. The G2730 should appear under “Available printers to add.” Click Add.
