Setting up Guide for Windows:

1. Download the drivers:

1. Select your operating system (Windows version) and download the necessary files, such as the “Master Setup” or similar package.

2. Install the drivers:

1. Locate the downloaded file and double-click it to start the installation.
2. Follow the on-screen instructions, which will guide you through the installation process.
3. You may need to agree to the license agreement, select your connection type (USB or Wi-Fi), and potentially restart your computer.

3.Connect the printer:

1. USB: If using a USB connection, plug the USB cable into both your computer and the printer. The driver installation should automatically detect the printer.
2. Wi-Fi: The printer will need to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer. You may also need to use the printer’s control panel to initiate the Wi-Fi setup.

4.Install Canon Inkjet Print Utility (optional but recommended):

1. Connect to your network:

6. If your printer and Mac are on the same network, you can also use AirPrint, which doesn’t. require installing a separate driver, according to Canon.

7. Ensure your printer is compatible with AirPrint and connected to your network.

Setting up Guide for IOS:

1. Install the Canon PRINT app: Download and install the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app from the Apple App Store.
2. Start the app and begin setup: Open the app and tap the + (Plus) icon.
3. Register the printer: Tap “Register Printer”.
4. Connect to the printer’s Wi-Fi: The app will guide you to connect your iOS device to the printer’s temporary Wi-Fi network
5. Select your network: Once connected to the printer’s Wi-Fi, the app will search for available wireless networks. Select your home or office Wi-Fi network.
6. Enter your Wi-Fi password: Enter the password for your chosen Wi-Fi network.
7. Complete the setup: The app will send the network settings to the printer and complete the registration process.
8. Print a test page: The app will likely prompt you to print a test page to confirm the connection.

Setting up Guide for Android:

1. Install Canon PRINT app:

1. Download and install the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app from the Google Play Store on your Android device.

2. Connect to Wi-Fi:

1. Ensure your Canon MB5130 printer and Android device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network, says Cartridge World.

3. Open the app and add the printer:

1. Tap the “Add Printer” button and the app will search for available Canon printers on your network.

4. Select your printer:

1. Once your printer is found, select it from the list.

5. Follow in-app instructions:

1. The app will guide you through the remaining steps to complete the printer registration and setup.

6. Print from your Android device:

1. You can print documents and photos directly from your Android device using the Canon PRINT app.

Wireless/Wifi Connection:

1. Connect the printer to Wifi connection:
   • Choose your wifi connection from the available networks.
   • Enter the password.
   • Wait until the printer displays connected.
2. Add Printer:
   • Click the Settings icon.
   • In the Settings menu, click on Advanced at the bottom.
   • Click Printing and then Printers.
   • Your Canon imagePRESS C170 should appear in the list if it’s connected to the same Wi-Fi.
   • Click Add.
3. Print the Test page.

Wired/USB Connection:

1. Connect the printer to USB Cable:
   • Plug the USB Cable into the printer and the other end to your Chromebook.
2. Add printer:
   • Click the Settings icon.
   • In the settings menu, click on Advanced at the bottom.
   • Click Printing and then printers.
   • Click on the Add Printer option.
   • Your Canon imagePRESS C170 should appear in the list if it’s connected to the same Wi-Fi.
   • Click Add.
3. Print the Test page.
