Requirements & Prerequisite

Gather the following items before you begin setup. Tick each one as you get it.

Unboxing & Initial Setup

Step 1 of 5 Take printer out

Open the box fully and lift the printer upward with support from both sides.

  1. Remove all packaging materials, install the print heads, fill the ink tanks, and load paper into the tray.
  2. Turn on the printer and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the initial setup.
  3. Install the toner cartridges.
  4. Load paper into the paper trays.

Canon GX6000 setup on Windows

  1. Connect the Printer to Wi-Fi
    • On the printer’s touchscreen, go to Settings > LAN Settings > Wireless LAN Setup.
    • Choose your Wi-Fi network and enter the password to connect.
  2. Download and Install the Printer Driver
    • Driver Download Links are in the bottom of the page.
    • Search for “MAXIFY GX6000” and download the Windows driver package.
    • Run the installer and follow the prompts. Choose “Wireless Connection” during the setup.
  3. Complete Setup and Test Printing
    • After installation, the printer should appear in your list of available devices.
    • Print a test page from your system to verify the connection.
