Canon MAXIFY GX3000 is a 3-in-1 wireless printer that offers high volume printing at low cost. It also offers scanning and copying. Canon MAXIFY GX3000 is a high page yield printer. It uses a continuous ink supply system which minimizes ink costs.

Gather the following items before you begin setup. Tick each one as you get it.

Unboxing & Initial Setup

Step 1 of 5 Take printer out

Open the box fully and lift the printer upward with support from both sides.

  1. Take the printer out of the box.
  2. Take out all the accessories and remove the packaging.
  3. Remove and discard the protective tape from outside and inside.
  4. Set language, date, time.
  5. Open the cover, and install the inks.
  6. Open the cassette and put paper in it.

Canon GX3000 setup on Windows

Setting up Canon MAXIFY GX3000 – Windows (Wifi):

  1. Connect the printer to Wifi:

Go to the printer display panel.

Click on settings.

Click on Printer settings.

Click on LAN settings, then click on Wi-fi.

Now click on Wi-fi setup.

Click on Manual connect.

Choose your wifi network and select it.

Enter password.

Press ok.

  1. Download the Drivers:

Download and install the driver from the bottom of the page.

Once the installation is completed, run the installed file.

  1. Print the Test page:

Print a test page to confirm the setup.

USB Setup (Wired Setup):

  1. Connect the USB Cable to your printer:

Plug the USB cable to your printer and the other end to your PC.

Go to the settings of your PC.

Search for bluetooth and devices.

Click on Printers and Scanners.

From the available printers list select your Canon MAXIFY GX3000 .

  1. Download the Drivers:

Download and install the necessary drivers from the bottom of the page.

Once the driver installation is completed, run the installed file.

  1. Print the Test page:

Print a test page to confirm the setup.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Printer not connecting to wifi:
  2. Possible Causes: Incorrect password, weak, signal or outdated firmware.
  3. Solutions:
  4. Ensure your Wi-Fi password is correct
  5. Place the printer close to the router
  6. Re-run Easy Wireless Connect
  7. Press Setup >Wi-Fi Setup >Easy Wireless Connect
  8. Restart the router and printer
  9. Check for firmware updates via Canon’s official website
  10. Print Not Detected by computer or mobile:
  11. Solutions:
  12. Ensure both printer and device are on the same Wi-Fi network
  13. Restart your printer and device
  14. Reinstall the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app (for mobile)
  15. For USB connection, ensure the cable is securely connected
  16. On Windows/Mac, reinstall the printer driver
  17. Paper Jam:
  18. Solutions:
  19. Turn off the printer
  20. Gently remove jammed paper from the rear tray, output slot, or inside the printer
  21. Check for torn paper pieces
  22. Restart the printer
  23. Poor Print Quality (Faded, Streaks, Missing Colors)
  24. Solution:
  25. Check ink levels and replace cartridges if needed
  26. Run Print Head Cleaning:
  27. Press Setup >Maintenance>Cleaning
  28. Perform Print Head Alignment via the same menu
  29. Ensure you’re using compatible paper
