Unboxing Steps:

  1. Take out the printer from the box.
  2. Take all accessories out and remove all the packaging materials. 
  3. Remove the protective tapes. 

Initial Setup:

  1. Press on the power button to turn the printer on.
  2. Install the ink cartridges.
  3. Load the paper.

Here is a step-by-step guide on how you can set up your Canon G595 on Windows, Mac, IOS, Chrome OS, Android with wifi and USB functionality.

Setting up Canon G595 Windows (Wi fi):

  1. Prepare the printer:
    • Press the piler button.
    • With arrow keys select wi-fi setup.
    • Select easy wireless connect and press ok.
    • Your printer is connected.
  2. Download the Drivers:
    • Download and install the driver from the bottom of the page.
    • Once the installation is completed, run the installed file.
  3. Print the Test page:
    • Open a document, photo, or webpage.
    • Use Ctrl + P >Select your Canon G595 printer.
    • Print.

USB Setup (Wired Setup):

  1. Download the Drivers:
    • Download and install the necessary drivers from the bottom of the page.
    • Once the driver installation is completed, run the installed file.
  2. Connect the USB Cable to your printer:
    • Plug the USB cable to your printer and the other end to your PC.
    • Go to the settings of your PC.
    • Search for bluetooth and devices.
    • Click on Printers and Scanners.
    • From the available printers list select your Canon G595.
  3. Print the Test page:
    • Open a document, photo, or webpage.
    • Use Ctrl + P >Select your Canon G595 printer.
    • Print.

Setting up Canon G595 – Mac (Wi fi):

  1. Download Drivers:

    • Use Ctrl + P >Select your Canon G595 printer.
    • Print.

Setting up Canon G595 – Chrome OS (Wi fi):

  1. Connect Chromebook to network connection: 
    • Connect chromebook to your home/office network.
    • Check that the printer and chromebook are connected to the same network.
  2. Add Printer:
    • Click the Settings icon.
    • In the Settings menu, click on Advanced at the bottom.
    • Click Printing and then Printers.
    • Your Canon G595 should appear in the list if it’s connected to the same Wi-Fi.
    • Click Add.
  3. Print the Test page:
    • Open a document, photo, or webpage.
    • Use Ctrl + P >Select your Canon G595 printer.
    • Print.

Setting up Canon G595 IOS:

  1. Printing with AirPrint from iOS Device:
    • Tap operation icon using your iOS device’s application.
    • Menu options appear.
  2. Tap Print:
    • Select your model name from Printer on Printer Options.
  3. Check Print Settings:
    • Set the number of copies to be printed and print options, as needed.
    • Click on Print.

Setting up Canon G595 Android:

  1. Setting Up Canon Print Service:
    • Download Canon Print Service on Google Play Store.
    • After completing installation, enable Canon Print Service on your Android smartphone or tablet.
    • Connect your smartphone or tablet and the printer to the same network over Wi-Fi.
  2. Printing Using Canon Print Service:
    • Perform operation for printing in application.
    • Select printer in application.
    • Specify number of copies, paper size, and other settings as needed.
  3. Start printing:
    • Printing starts with your specified settings.

Troubleshooting Steps:

Troubleshooting steps for Canon G595 are:

  1. The Machine Cannot Be Powered On:
    • Press the ON button.
    • Make sure that the power plug is securely plugged into the power cord connector of the machine, then turn it back on.
    • Make sure that the USB cable is securely plugged in.
    • Unplug the machine from the power supply, then plug the machine back in and turn the machine back on after leaving it for at least 2 minutes.
    • If you are printing from the computer and there are unnecessary print jobs, delete them. 
  2. Make sure of the following when you load paper:
    • When loading two or more sheets of paper, align the edges of the sheets before loading.
    • Make sure that the paper stack does not exceed the paper load limit.
    • Always load the paper in portrait orientation, regardless of the printing orientation.
    • Load the paper with the print side facing up.
    • Check to see if the paper you are printing on is not too thick or curled.
    • Confirm that the media type and the paper size settings correspond with the loaded paper.
    • Make sure that there are not any foreign objects in the rear tray.
  3. Check Cartridges:
    • When a FINE cartridge runs out of ink, replace it with a new one.
    • Is the FINE cartridge installed properly?
    • If the FINE cartridge is not installed securely, ink may not be ejected correctly.
    • Retract the output tray extension and the paper output tray, open the cover, then remove the FINE cartridges, Then install the FINE cartridges again. Push the FINE cartridge until it clicks into place.
    • Perform the Print Head Deep Cleaning.
  4. Paper Jams:
    • When paper is jammed, the Alarm lamp flashes and a troubleshooting message is displayed on the computer screen automatically. 
    • Take the papers out and arrange them in a proper way.
