Requirements & Prerequisite

Gather the following items before you begin setup. Tick each one as you get it.

Unboxing & Initial Setup

Step 1 of 5 Take printer out

Open the box fully and lift the printer upward with support from both sides.

  1. Unbox the printer and turn the power on
  2. Fill ink tanks using the provided Canon ink bottles
  3. Install the print heads as per the included manual
  4. Load plain paper into the rear tray.
  5. Plug in the power cord and turn on the printer.

Canon MegaTank G2270 setup on Windows

  1. Unbox the printer and turn the power on
  2. Fill ink tanks using the provided Canon ink bottles
  3. Install the print heads as per the included manual
  4. Load plain paper into the rear tray.
  5. Plug in the power cord and turn on the printer.
  6. Connect the printer to your Windows PC using a USB cable (not included).
  7. Download drivers from the bottom of the page
  8. Run the setup files and follow necessary instructions
  9. Choose USB connection when prompted
  10. Complete the driver installation and restart the PC if required
  11. Print a test page to confirm operation
