Requirements & Prerequisite

Gather the following items before you begin setup. Tick each one as you get it.

Power cable and a nearby electrical outlet
Ink or toner cartridges (included or purchased separately for Printers only)
Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password (For Wireless Printers)
Computer(Mac, Windows, Linux), Tablet (iPad, Android), or Smartphone (Android, iOS) for setup
Printer placed within range of your Wi-Fi router
USB cable

Open the box fully and lift the printer upward with support from both sides.

Canon MegaTank G1430 setup on Windows

Unbox the printer and remove all packaging materials
Install ink tanks as per the instructions
Load paper into the tray
Plug in the power cord and turn on the printer
Use a USB cable to connect the printer to computer.
Download drivers from the bottom of the page
Once driver is downloaded, open the file to begin installation
Open the Control Panel on your computer and select Devices and Printers.
Right-click on the Canon PIXMA G1430 and select Set as Default Printer if you want it to be the default printer for all print jobs.
Go to Start > Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
Select the Canon PIXMA G1430 from the list, click on it, and choose Manage.
Click Print a Test Page to ensure everything is working.

What should I do if my printer driver installation fails?
