Requirements & Prerequisite

Gather the following items before you begin setup. Tick each one as you get it.

Unboxing & Initial Setup

Step 1 of 5 Take printer out

Open the box fully and lift the printer upward with support from both sides.

  1. Take the printer out of the box.
  2. Take out all the accessories and remove the packaging.
  3. Remove and discard the protective tape from outside and inside.
  4. Connect the power cord to turn the printer on.
  5. Install the toner cartridges.
  6. Load paper into the paper trays.

Setup on Windows

Driver Installation

  1. Visit the Canon Support website and download the driver for the TS308 printer.
  2. Open the installer and follow the on-screen instructions.
  3. Select the connection type: Wireless Connection or USB Connection.

Wireless Connection Setup

  1. On the printer, press and hold the Wi-Fi button until the power lamp flashes.
  2. Use the Canon installer on your Windows PC to detect and connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
  3. Enter your Wi-Fi network credentials if prompted.

USB Connection Setup

  1. Connect the printer to your PC using a USB cable.
  2. Windows should detect the printer automatically and install the driver.

Usage

  • Print and scan documents using the Canon software or Windows default tools.
