Canon PIXMA TR4540 is a wireless inkjet printer with copying, scanning and faxing features. It comes in a very compact design that it can be fit in a small spaces too. It has included software like MP Driver including Scanning Utility, Easy-WebPrint EX (download).

Requirements & Prerequisite

Gather the following items before you begin setup. Tick each one as you get it.

Unboxing & Initial Setup

Step 1 of 5 Take printer out

Open the box fully and lift the printer upward with support from both sides.

  1. Take the printer out of the box.
  2. Take out all the accessories and remove the packaging.
  3. Remove and discard the protective tape from outside and inside.
  4. Connect the power cord to turn the printer on.
  5. Install the toner cartridges.
  6. Load paper into the paper trays.

Setup for Windows

  1. Driver Installation:
    • Driver Download links are on the bottom of the page.
    • Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions.
  2. Connection Setup:
    • Use the printer’s control panel to navigate to Wireless LAN Setup and connect to your Wi-Fi network, or use a USB cable for a wired connection.
    • Ensure your computer and the printer are on the same network.
  3. Using the Printer:
    • For printing: Open the document, click File > Print, and select the TR4540.
    • For scanning: Use the Canon IJ Scan Utility or Windows Fax and Scan.
