Requirements & Prerequisite

Gather the following items before you begin setup. Tick each one as you get it.

Power cable and a nearby electrical outlet
Ink or toner cartridges (included or purchased separately for Printers only)
Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password (For Wireless Printers)
Computer(Mac, Windows, Linux), Tablet (iPad, Android), or Smartphone (Android, iOS) for setup
Printer placed within range of your Wi-Fi router
USB cable

Unboxing & Initial Setup

Step 1 of 5 Take printer out

Open the box fully and lift the printer upward with support from both sides.

Carefully unpack your PIXMA TS5300 printer from the box.
Remove all packaging materials and protective tapes from the printer.
Find the power cord provided in the box.
Connect one end of the power cord to the printer’s power port located at the back of the printer.
Plug the other end of the power cord into a power outlet.
Open the front cover of the printer to access the ink cartridge slots.
Remove the protective cover from the ink cartridge slots.
Insert the ink cartridges into their corresponding slots. Ensure that each cartridge is securely in place.
Close the front cover of the printer.
Load a stack of plain paper into the tray. Make sure the paper is aligned properly and not exceeding the maximum capacity.

Setting Up Canon TS5300 on Windows

Step 1: Unbox and Prepare the Printer

Unbox the Canon TS5300 and remove all packaging materials.
Plug in the power cable and turn on the printer.
Install the ink cartridges and load paper into the paper tray.

Step 2: Install Printer Drivers

Driver Download Links are in the bottom of the page.
Download the latest Windows drivers and run the setup file.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

Step 3: Connect via Wi-Fi or USB

USB connection: Connect the printer to your Windows PC using a USB cable.
Wi-Fi connection:
1. Press and hold the Wi-Fi button until the Wi-Fi light starts flashing.
2. Use the Canon Setup Utility to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.

Step 4: Add Printer to Windows

Open Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
Click Add a Printer or Scanner and select Canon TS5300.
Click Add Device to complete the setup.

Your Canon TS5300 is now ready for printing on Windows!

If the Driver installation fails, you will need to check the Operating system properly. Sometimes the 32 Bit OS does not support the 64 Bit OS Driver. Though the Operating system is detected by the Canon website automatically, you will still need to be sure.

This usually happens when the WiFi settings that you are trying to connect to are either wrong or the WiFi is not working. It can Also happen if the WiFi signal Strength is not good.

Which operating systems (Windows, macOS, Mobile) are supported?
