Setup and Installation
- Take the scanner out from the box.
- Remove the packaging.
- Remove the protective tape.
- Turn the scanner on.
- Prepare the Scanner, place the scanner on a flat.
- Gently clean the glass with a soft lint-free cloth.
Setting up Canon canoscan LiDE 100 – Windows (USB):
- Download the Drivers:
Download and install the driver from the bottom of the page.
Once the installation is completed, run the installed file.
- Connect the scanner:
Plug the USB cable into the scanner and computer.
- Scan the document:
Place your document face down on the scanner, select the document type, and start the scan.

Drivers
For some versions like Mac Air Print on Mac OS, The Drivers are not required. Hence you will see no drivers Required.

Make sure when you type a message in the live chat, you type it in the language you are most comfortable in. Chat will ask you to identify your Printer Model and Operating System your are trying to connect your Printer to.
Troubleshooting Steps:
- Check the power connection.
- Check the lock switch.
- Uninstall drivers or try to install new drivers.
- If you see Slow or Hanging issues reduce scan resolution in the software (e.g., from 1200 dpi to 300 dpi).
- If there are Lines / Streaks on Scans clean the scanner glass with a microfiber cloth and mild glass cleaner.
