Setup and Installation
- Take all the accessories and the printer itself from the box.
- Remove all the packaging materials.
- Remove the protective tapes.
- Press on the power button to turn the printer on.
- Unpack the ink cartridges and install them.
- Load the paper.
Setting up Canon PIXMA iP7240 – Windows (Wifi):
- Prepare the printer:
Press and hold the wi-fi button for 2 seconds until the power light starts blinking.
Press the WPS button on the router within 2 minutes.
The blue Wi-Fi light will stay lit once connected.
- Download the Drivers:
Download and install the driver from the bottom of the page.
Once the installation is completed, run the installed file.
- Print the Test page:
Print a test page to confirm the setup.
USB Setup (Wired Setup):
- Download the Drivers:
Download and install the necessary drivers from the bottom of the page.
Once the driver installation is completed, run the installed file.
- Connect the USB Cable to your printer:
Plug the USB cable to your printer and the other end to your PC.
Go to the settings of your PC.
Search for bluetooth and devices.
Click on Printers and Scanners.
From the available printers list select your Canon PIXMA iP7240.

- Download Drivers:

- Connect to the Wifi:
Turn on your Canon PIXMA iP7240.
Make sure your Iphone/Ipad is connected to the secure internet connection.
Ensure that your printer and device are on the same network.
- Install the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY App:
Go to the app store.
Search for the “Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY App”.
Download and install the app.
- Add printer:
Go to the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app.
Now follow the on-screen instructions to add your printer.
App will search for the available printers, Select your Canon PIXMA iP7240 from the available list.
Click on Add printer.

Download the app from the play store.

- Connect the printer to Wifi connection:

In the Settings menu, click on Advanced at the bottom.
Click Printing and then Printers.
Your Canon PIXMA iP7240 should appear in the list if it’s connected to the same Wi-Fi.
Click Add.

On Windows/Mac, reinstall the printer driver
- Paper Jam:
Solutions:
Turn off the printer
Gently remove jammed paper from the rear tray, output slot, or inside the printer
Check for torn paper pieces
Restart the printer
- Poor Print Quality (Faded, Streaks, Missing Colors)
