Requirements & Prerequisite
Gather the following items before you begin setup. Tick each one as you get it.
Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Remove the outer packaging of the box and take the printer out of it.
- Take all the accessories from the box.
- Remove all the protective tape from the printer.
- Connect the power cord, and then press the ON button.
- Install the ink cartridges.
- Load plain or A4 size paper.

Troubleshooting Steps
- Printer not connecting to wifi
- Possible Causes Incorrect password, weak, signal or outdated firmware
- Ensure your WiFi password is correct
- Place the printer close to the router
- Rerun Easy Wireless Connect
- Press Setup WiFi Setup Easy Wireless Connect
- Restart the router and printer
- Check for firmware updates via Canon’s official website
- Print Not Detected by computer or mobile
- Ensure both printer and device are on the same WiFi network
- Restart your printer and device
- Reinstall the Canon PRINT InkjetSELPHY app for mobile
- For USB connection, ensure the cable is securely connected
- On Windows/Mac, reinstall the printer driver
- Paper Jam
- Turn off the printer
- Gently remove jammed paper from the rear tray, output slot, or inside the printer
- Check for torn paper pieces
- Restart the printer
- Poor Print Quality Faded, Streaks, Missing Colors
- Check ink levels and replace cartridges if needed
- Run Print Head Cleaning
- Press Setup Maintenance/Cleaning
- Perform Print Head Alignment via the same menu
- Ensure you’re using compatible paper
