Requirements & Prerequisite

Gather the following items before you begin setup. Tick each one as you get it.

Unboxing & Initial Setup

Step 1 of 5 Take printer out

Open the box fully and lift the printer upward with support from both sides.

  1. Remove all packaging material and protective tapes from the printer
  2. Take out documentation material, power cord and other accessories from the box.
  3. Connect the power cord and turn ON the printer
  4. Install the ink cartridges
  5. Load paper into the paper tray

Canon PIXMA E474 setup on Windows

  1. Download the Printer Driver:
    • Navigate to the drivers section for the E474
    • Select your Windows version and download the appropriate driver file 
  2. Install the Printer Driver:
    • Double-click the downloaded file to start the installation process. 
    • Follow the on-screen instructions, including selecting your region and computer OS. 
    • When prompted, connect the printer to your computer using a USB cable (make sure it’s powered on). 
    • The installer will guide you through the rest of the process, including print head alignment. 
  3. Connect to a Wireless Network (if desired):
    • During installation, you’ll have the option to set up a wireless connection. 
    • If you choose wireless, the setup will guide you through connecting to your router. 
    • Alternatively, you can connect via Ethernet if you prefer.
  4. Test the Print:
    • After installation, try printing a test page to ensure everything is working correctly.
