Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Carefully remove the Canon MG2525 from the packaging, ensuring all protective materials are removed.
- Open the front cover and install the ink cartridges by pushing them into place until they click securely.
- Adjust the paper guides in the rear tray and load your desired paper size (e.g., A4 or letter).
- Connect the printer to a power source and press the power button to turn it on.

Troubleshooting Steps
- Printer not connecting to wi-fi (If Available):
- Possible Causes: Incorrect password, weak, signal or outdated firmware.
- Solutions:
- a. Ensure your Wi-Fi password is correct
- b. Place the printer close to the router
- c. Re-run Easy Wireless Connect
- d. Press Setup >Wi-Fi Setup >Easy Wireless Connect
- e. Restart the router and printer
- f. Check for firmware updates via Canon’s official website
- Print Not Detected by computer or mobile:
- Solutions:
- a. Ensure both printer and device are on the same Wi-Fi network
- b. Restart your printer and device
- c. Reinstall the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app (for mobile)
- d. For USB connection, ensure the cable is securely connected
- e. On Windows/Mac, reinstall the printer driver
- Paper Jam:
- Solutions:
- a. Turn off the printer
- b. Gently remove jammed paper from the rear tray, output slot, or inside the printer
- c. Check for torn paper pieces
- d. Restart the printer
- Poor Print Quality (Faded, Streaks, Missing Colors)
- Solution:
- a. Check ink levels and replace cartridges if needed
- b. Run Print Head Cleaning:
- c. Press Setup >Maintenance>Cleaning
- d. Perform Print Head Alignment via the same menu
