Requirements & Prerequisite
Gather the following items before you begin setup. Tick each one as you get it.
Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Carefully remove the MB2710 from its packaging and remove all protective materials.
- Open the front cover, insert the ink cartridges into their designated slots until they click into place.
- Adjust the paper guides and load the appropriate paper size into the front paper tray.
- Connect the power cord to an electrical outlet and press the power button to turn on the printer.

Troubleshooting Steps
- Printer not connecting to wifi:
- Possible Causes: Incorrect password, weak, signal or outdated firmware.
- Solutions:
- Ensure your Wi-Fi password is correct
- Place the printer close to the router
- Re-run Easy Wireless Connect
- Press Setup >Wi-Fi Setup >Easy Wireless Connect
- Restart the router and printer
- Check for firmware updates via Canon’s official website
- Print Not Detected by computer or mobile:
- Solutions:
- Ensure both printer and device are on the same Wi-Fi network
- Restart your printer and device
- Reinstall the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app (for mobile)
- For USB connection, ensure the cable is securely connected
- On Windows/Mac, reinstall the printer driver
- Paper Jam:
- Solutions:
- Turn off the printer
- Gently remove jammed paper from the rear tray, output slot, or inside the printer
- Check for torn paper pieces
- Restart the printer
- Poor Print Quality (Faded, Streaks, Missing Colors)
- Solution:
- Check ink levels and replace cartridges if needed
- Run Print Head Cleaning:
- Press Setup >Maintenance>Cleaning
- Perform Print Head Alignment via the same menu
- Ensure you’re using compatible paper
