Requirements & Prerequisite
Gather the following items before you begin setup. Tick each one as you get it.
Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Carefully remove the printer from the packaging, discarding any protective materials.
- Place the printer on a flat, stable surface with enough room for paper handling and easy access to controls.
- Open the Ink Tank Cover: Lift the cover to access the ink tanks.
- Fill the Ink Tanks: Using the provided ink bottles, carefully fill each tank (Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow), avoiding overfilling.
- Close the Ink Tank Cover: Ensure the cover is securely closed after filling all tanks.
- Load Paper: Pull out the paper tray and adjust the guides to fit the size of the paper being used. Load the paper, ensuring it is properly aligned.
- Power On the Printer: Connect the power cord and press the power button to turn on the printer.

Troubleshooting Steps
- Printer not connecting to wi-fi:
- Possible Causes: Incorrect password, weak, signal or outdated firmware.
- Solutions:
- Ensure your Wi-Fi password is correct
- Place the printer close to the router
- Re-run Easy Wireless Connect
- Press Setup >Wi-Fi Setup >Easy Wireless Connect
- Restart the router and printer
- Check for firmware updates via Canon’s official website
- Print Not Detected by computer or mobile:
