WIFI Setup

1. Unbox the printer and turn it on
2. Download drivers from the bottom of the page
3. Choose connect via wireless router
4. Hold the WiFi button until Power light flashes
5. Press the Black button, then press the Wi-Fi button again
6. Wait for the WiFi light to blink – the printer is now in setup mode
7. On the PC, the installer will detect the printer on the network.
8. Follow the prompt to complete setup
9. Print a test page to confirm normal operation

USB Setup (Wired Setup):

1. Download drivers from the bottom of the page
2. Connect the printer using the USB cable
3. Run and installer and select USB connection
4. Follow on screen instruction to install the printer
5. Print a test page to ensure smooth operation

Wi-Fi/Wireless:

1. Turn on the printer
2. Press and hold the WiFi button until the Power LED blinks
3. Press the black button, then WiFi button again. When WiFi button flashes, it should put the printer in setup mode.
4. Open the downloaded installer on your Mac and begin the setup
5. Select “Wireless LAN Connection”, then choose Cableless Setup
6. The installer will search and connect to the printer automatically
7. Print the test page to ensure normal operation.

Wired/USB Connection:

1. Download drivers from the bottom of the page
2. Connect the printer to the PC using USB cable
3. Run the installer and select USB connection
4. Follow on screen instructions to install the printer
5. Print a test page to verify installation

1. Turn on the printer and press the Wi-Fi button until the Power light blinks.
2. Press the Black button, then the Wi-Fi button again – the Wi-Fi light will blink
3. Connect your iPhone/iPad to the same Wi-Fi network
4. Download the Canon PRINT app from the App Store
5. Open the app and tap Add Printer or the + icon.
6. Choose Register Printer > Via Wireless Router
7. Select your E477 from the list when detected
8. Follow the app’s on-screen instructions to complete setup
9. After setup, you can print, scan, or copy using the app.
10. For native printing, use AirPrint (built into iOS)
11. Open any document or photo > tap Share > Print > select the E477 printer
12. Ensure printer and iPhone/iPad are on the same Wi-Fi network for AirPrint

1. Turn on the printer and press the WiFi button until the power light blinks
2. Press the Black button, then the WiFi button again to enter setup mode (Wi-Fi light blinks).
3. Ensure your Android phone is connected to the same WiFi network.
4. Download the Canon Print app from the Google Play Store.
5. Open the app and tap Add Printer or the + icon
6. Choose Register Printer> Via Wireless Router.
7. Select the E477 from the detected devices.
8. Follow on-screen steps to complete the setup
9. To print, open a photo or document, tap Share > Canon PRINT, and select the printer.
10. For broader printing options, install the Canon Print Service Plugin from the Play Store.

Wireless/Wifi Connection:

1. Ensure the printer is powered on
2. Press and hold the WiFi button until the Power LED flashes
3. Press the black button, then the WiFi button again. When the light flashes, it should be in setup mode
4. On your Chromebook, click the system tray in the bottom right corner
5. Select Settings> Advanced> Printing> Printers
6. Select your printer and add
7. Press Ctrl+P to test print a page to ensure smooth operation

Wired/USB Connection:

1. Use a USB cable to connect the printer to your Chromebook
2. Follow the same steps as in the wireless setup to add the printer via USB
3. Press Ctrl+P to test print a page to ensure smooth operation
