Requirements & Prerequisite

Gather the following items before you begin setup. Tick each one as you get it.

Unboxing & Initial Setup

Step 1 of 5 Take printer out

Open the box fully and lift the printer upward with support from both sides.

  1. Carefully remove the TR4550 from its packaging and remove all protective materials and tape.
  2. Open the front cover of the printer. Insert the ink cartridges into their respective slots until they click into place.
  3. Adjust the paper guides in the rear paper tray to match the paper size you will use. Load the paper into the tray.
  4. Plug the printer into a power outlet and press the power button to turn it on.

Setup for Windows

  1. Driver Installation:
    • Driver Download links are on the bottom of the page.
    • Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions.
  2. Connection Setup:
    • Use the printer’s control panel to navigate to Wireless LAN Setup and connect to your Wi-Fi network, or use a USB cable for a wired connection.
    • Ensure your computer and the printer are on the same network.
  3. Using the Printer:
    • For printing: Open the document, click File > Print, and select the TR4550.
    • For scanning: Use the Canon IJ Scan Utility or Windows Fax and Scan.
