Requirements & Prerequisite
Gather the following items before you begin setup. Tick each one as you get it.
Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Carefully unpack the printer and remove all protective materials, tapes, and plastic coverings.
- Set the printer on a stable, flat surface with enough space for handling large media sheets.
- Open the ink compartment located on the front of the printer.
- Remove each ink cartridge from its packaging and install them in the corresponding slots. Ensure they click into place securely.
- Once all cartridges are installed, close the ink compartment.
- Load Paper Roll or Sheets.
- Connect the power cord to the printer and plug it into an electrical outlet. Turn on the printer.

Troubleshooting Steps
- Printer not connecting to wi-fi:
- Possible Causes: Incorrect password, weak, signal or outdated firmware.
- Solutions:
- Ensure your Wi-Fi password is correct
- Place the printer close to the router
- Re-run Easy Wireless Connect
- Press Setup >Wi-Fi Setup >Easy Wireless Connect
- Restart the router and printer
- Check for firmware updates via Canon’s official website
- Print Not Detected by computer or mobile:

- Ensure both printer and device are on the same Wi-Fi network
- Restart your printer and device
- Reinstall the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app (for mobile)
- For USB connection, ensure the cable is securely connected
- On Windows/Mac, reinstall the printer driver
