  1. Turn on the Canon imagePROGRAF GP-200.
  2. Open the printer's LAN Settings, Network Settings, or Wi-Fi Settings.
  3. Enable the printer's wireless LAN connection if it is disabled.
  4. Select the available Wi-Fi setup option.
  5. Select your wireless network (SSID).
  6. Enter your Wi-Fi password.
  7. Confirm the settings and wait for the printer to establish the connection.
  8. On your Windows computer, download the appropriate driver and setup software for the imagePROGRAF GP-200.
  9. Start the downloaded setup program.
  10. Select Wireless LAN Connection or the corresponding network connection option.
  11. Allow the setup software to search for the printer.
  12. Select the detected imagePROGRAF GP-200.
  13. Follow the remaining on-screen instructions.
  14. Complete the driver installation.
  15. Print a test page to confirm the connection.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Printer not connecting to wi-fi:
    • Possible Causes: Incorrect password, weak, signal or outdated firmware.
    • Solutions:
      • Ensure your Wi-Fi password is correct
      • Place the printer close to the router
      • Re-run Easy Wireless Connect
      • Press Setup >Wi-Fi Setup >Easy Wireless Connect
      • Restart the router and printer
      • Check for firmware updates via Canon’s official website
  2. Print Not Detected by computer or mobile:
    • Solutions:
      • Ensure both printer and device are on the same Wi-Fi network
      • Restart your printer and device
      • Reinstall the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app (for mobile)
      • For USB connection, ensure the cable is securely connected
      • On Windows/Mac, reinstall the printer driver
  3. Paper Jam:
    • Solutions:
      • Turn off the printer
      • Gently remove jammed paper from the rear tray, output slot, or inside the printer
      • Check for torn paper pieces
      • Restart the printer
  4. Poor Print Quality (Faded, Streaks, Missing Colors):
    • Solution:
      • Check ink levels and replace cartridges if needed
      • Run Print Head Cleaning:
      • Press Setup >Maintenance>Cleaning
      • Perform Print Head Alignment via the same menu
      • Ensure you’re using compatible paper
