Overview

This model is part of Canon’s MegaTank series, which utilizes a refillable ink tank system to provide a cost-effective printing solution. The GX7070 is known for its exceptional print quality, fast printing speeds, and high-volume output, making it suitable for a variety of document types, including text, graphics, and photos.

Unboxing & Initial Setup

  1. Carefully remove the printer from its packaging and take off any protective materials.
  2. Place the printer on a stable surface with enough space for paper handling and access to controls.
  3. Open the Ink Tank Cover: Lift the cover to access the ink tanks.
  4. Fill the Ink Tanks: Carefully pour the appropriate ink into each tank (Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow) using the included ink bottles. Ensure that you do not overfill the tanks.
  5. Close the Ink Tank Cover: Once all tanks are filled, securely close the cover.
  6. Load Paper: Pull out the paper tray and adjust the guides to fit the size of the paper you are using. Load the paper into the tray, making sure it is aligned properly.
  7. Power On the Printer: Connect the power cord and press the power button to turn on the printer.

  1. Download the Printer Drivers:

    • Save the file to your computer.
  2. Install the Drivers:
    • Locate the downloaded .exe file and double-click to launch the installer.

    • For Wi-Fi: Use the printer’s control panel to navigate to LAN Settings > Wi-Fi Setup and follow the instructions.
