Effective Date: 01/01/2024

At ij.start-canon.com, we respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our users to do the same. This Copyright Policy and DMCA Compliance page outlines the procedures we follow in response to claims of copyright infringement and how you, as a rights holder, can notify us of any content that infringes upon your copyright.

1. Copyright Infringement Claims

If you believe that any material on our website infringes your copyright, you may submit a written notification to our Designated Copyright Agent, as described below. All claims must comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

2. DMCA Takedown Notice Requirements

  2. Identification of the material that you claim is infringing and where it is located on the website (e.g., the URL of the specific page or a description of where the material can be found).
  3. Your contact information, including your full name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  4. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information provided in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

If you believe that material you have posted on our website was removed in error or that it does not infringe the copyright, you may submit a counter-notification. Your counter-notice must include:

  1. Identification of the material that was removed or to which access was disabled and the location where the material appeared before it was removed or disabled.
  2. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification.
  3. Your name, address, telephone number, and email address, along with a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court in your judicial district (or the district where your address is located) and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notice or their agent.
  4. Your physical or electronic signature.

Please send your counter-notice to our designated Copyright Agent listed above.

4. Repeat Infringers

It is our policy, in appropriate circumstances, to disable or terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.

5. Misrepresentations

Any person who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing may be subject to legal liability. Likewise, anyone who misrepresents that material was removed by mistake or misidentification may also be subject to liability. We encourage all parties to seek legal counsel before filing a DMCA notice or counter-notification.

We reserve the right to modify this Copyright Policy/DMCA Compliance notice at any time. Any changes will be effective upon posting of the revised policy on our website.
