XK500 Setup Guide
Overview
The Canon PIXUS XK500 is an A4 inkjet all-in-one printer with print, copy, and scan functions, geared towards high-quality photo printing at a low running cost.

- Low running costs: Despite its focus on high-quality photos, Canon designed the XK500 to have low ink consumption for cost-effective printing.
- Individual ink tanks: With five separate color ink tanks, you only need to replace the specific colors that run out, which reduces waste. It is compatible with the XKI-N21 and XKI-N20 ink series.
- Versatile connectivity: The XK500 supports Wi-Fi (including 5GHz), which allows for easy wireless printing from a computer or smartphone. It also features automatic power-on when a print command is sent.
- A large, 4.3-inch color LCD touch panel for easy navigation.
- Flexible paper handling: The printer has a dual paper feed system with a front paper cassette and a rear feed tray, allowing you to load two different paper types at once.
Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Remove all packaging material and protective tapes from the printer
- Take out documentation material, power cord and other accessories from the box.
- Connect the power cord and turn ON the printer
- Install the ink cartridges
- Load paper into the paper tray
