Requirements & Prerequisite
Gather the following items before you begin setup. Check each one off as you get it.
Overview
The Canon PIXMA G2430 is the latest generation of the MegaTank 3-in-1 series. Released after the G2420, it focuses on speed and efficiency while maintaining the low-cost, refillable ink system that defines the MegaTank line.
Features
- Faster Print Speeds: A notable jump in speed compared to previous models, delivering approx. 11.0 ipm (black) and 6.0 ipm (color).
- Hybrid Ink System: Uses pigment black ink for sharp documents and dye-based colors for vivid borderless photos (up to A4).
- User-Replaceable Maintenance Cartridge: Like the G2420, it features a replaceable waste ink cartridge (MC-G04), allowing you to fix “service required” errors at home without a technician.
- Simple Controls: Features clear physical buttons for one-touch copying and maintenance tasks (it does not have the 2-line LCD found on the G2420, opting for a more streamlined button layout).
- Flexible Ink Options: Compatible with both standard GI-41S bottles (for lower upfront cost) and high-yield GI-41 bottles for maximum volume.
