Canon PIXUS XK510 is a versatile printer offering printing, scanning and copying. It delivers high speed and quality printing at affordable cost. Canon PIXUS XK510 uses 6 color hybrid ink technology which produces sharp texts and vivid images. It is compact and lightweight, it can be fit easily in any smaller space.

Unboxing & Initial Setup

  1. Take the printer out of the box.
  2. Take out all the accessories and remove the packaging.
  3. Remove the protective tape.
  4. Connect the power cord to turn the printer on.
  5. Install the cartridges.
  6. Load paper.

Canon XK510 setup on Windows

Setting up Canon PIXUS XK510 – Windows (wi-fi):

  1. Prepare the printer:
    • Select menu on printer’s screen.
    • Choose Network Settings.
    • Select wireless LAN settings.
    • Select SSID Settings.
    • Choose Select Access Point.
    • Now select your Wi-Fi network from the list.
    • Enter your password.
  2. Download the Drivers:
    • Download and install the driver from the bottom of the page.
    • Once the installation is completed, run the installed file.
  3. Print the Test page:
    • Open a document, photo, or webpage.
    • Use Ctrl + P >Select your Canon PIXUS XK510 printer.
    • Print.

USB Setup (Wired Setup):

  1. Download the Drivers:
    • Download and install the necessary drivers from the bottom of the page.
    • Once the driver installation is completed, run the installed file.
  2. Connect the USB Cable to your printer:
    • Plug the USB cable to your printer and the other end to your PC.
    • Go to the settings of your PC.
    • Search for bluetooth and devices.
    • Click on Printers and Scanners.
    • From the available printers list select your Canon PIXUS XK510.
  3. Print the Test page:
    • Open a document, photo, or webpage.
    • Use Ctrl + P >Select your Canon PIXUS XK510 printer.
    • Print.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Minor print issues:
    • Try to restart the printer that can resolve minor issues. 
  2. Low print quality or poor connectivity issues:
    • Outdated drivers can cause problems. Check the latest driver for your operating system. 
  3. WPS Connection (If Available):
    • Make sure your router supports the WPS.
    • Ensure your printer and router has strong signals.
    • Move your printer closer to the router for a strong connection.
  4. Printer is offline or not responding:
    • If your computer and printer aren’t communicating, try cancelling existing print jobs.
    • Try setting your Canon printer as the default printer.
    • Restart the Print Spooler service on Windows.
    • Check cables and wi-fi.
