Overview

The Canon WG7450F is an A3 color inkjet multifunction printer (MFP) designed for small to medium-sized businesses, focusing on high speed, productivity, and low running costs.

Unboxing & Initial Setup

  1. Remove all packaging material and protective tapes from the printer
  2. Take out documentation material, power cord and other accessories from the box.
  3. Connect the power cord and turn ON the printer
  4. Install the ink cartridges
  5. Load paper into the paper tray

Canon WG7450F setup on Windows

Setting up Guide for Windows:

  1. On the printer display press Menu icon.
    • Tap Network Settings
    • Tap Select Wired/Wireless LAN
    • Select Wireless LAN
    • Tap Wireless LAN settings and press ok
    • Select SSID settings
    • Tap Select Access Point
    • Choose your wi-fi network from the list and enter the password.
    • Your printer is connected.
  2. Download the Drivers:
    • Download and install the driver from the bottom of the page.
    • Once the installation is completed, run the installed file.
  3. Print the Test page:
    • Print a test page to confirm the setup.

USB Setup (Wired Setup):

  1. Download the Drivers:
    • Download and install the necessary drivers from the bottom of the page.
    • Once the driver installation is completed, run the installed file.
  2. Connect the USB Cable to your printer:
    • Plug the USB cable to your printer and the other end to your PC.
    • Go to the settings of your PC.
    • Search for bluetooth and devices.
    • Click on Printers and Scanners.
    • From the available printers list select your Canon WG7450 F.
  3. Print the Test page:
    • Print a test page to confirm the setup.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Check the Display Panel: When an error occurs, the printer’s control panel will often display a specific error code or message.
  2. Physical Connections: Ensure all cables (power, USB, or Ethernet) are securely connected. For Wi-Fi connections, make sure the printer is connected to the network, and the signal is strong.
  3. Basic Restart: Turn off both the printer and the computer, wait a few moments, and then turn them back on. This can resolve temporary glitches.
  4. Check Consumables:Paper: Ensure the paper trays are loaded correctly and the paper size settings match the loaded paper.
  5. Ink/Toner: Check the ink levels on the LCD panel. Low or empty ink can prevent printing.
  6. Cartridges/Print Head: Make sure ink tanks and print heads are correctly installed and clicked into place. A print head cleaning kit can help resolve issues with clogged nozzles or poor print quality.
  7. Maintenance Cartridge: Check the status of the maintenance cartridge and replace it if necessary.
