Overview
Canon PIXMA TS701a is a high performance printer primarily designed for home or office use. It delivers faster print speeds and higher paper capacity. It is designed to handle large print jobs as it has the generous paper capacity of up to 350 sheets. Canon PIXMA TS701a has 5 Color Individual Ink System.

Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Remove all protective packaging materials, including tapes and inserts inside the printer.
- Open the top cover and install the included FINE cartridges as directed by the printer screen. Wait until the printer completes initialization.
- Insert plain A4 paper or photo paper into the rear paper tray or front cassette, depending on usage needs.
- Plug in the power cord, press the power button, and follow the display instructions for basic setup.

Windows Installation
Wireless (Wi-Fi) Setup
- Driver Download Links are in the bottom of the page.
- Run the installer and select “Wireless LAN Connection” when prompted.
- On the printer, go to Wi-Fi Setup > Easy Wireless Connect. Follow the on-screen prompts to enter your Wi-Fi details.
- The setup program will detect the printer on the network and complete installation.
- Once installed, print a test page to verify the connection.
USB Setup
- Connect the printer to your PC using a USB cable.
- Download the driver from Canon’s support site if Windows does not auto-detect it.
- Complete installation using the wizard, and ensure the printer is added in Devices and Printers.

macOS Installation

- Connect the printer via USB or Wi-Fi as preferred.
- If using Wi-Fi, initiate Easy Wireless Connect on the printer before running the installer.
- Open System Settings > Printers & Scanners, click “+”, and select the Canon TS701a from the list.
- Confirm driver installation and complete setup.
Canon TS701a setup on iPhone & iPad
iOS Setup (iPhone and iPad)
The TS701a supports Apple AirPrint and Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY.
- Ensure the printer and iOS device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Open the file or photo to print, tap the Share icon, and select Print.
- Choose the Canon TS701a from the list of AirPrint printers.
- Alternatively, install the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app for scanning (if connected to a multifunction printer), ink status, and maintenance tools.

Android Setup
- Install the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app from Google Play.
- Ensure the printer is connected to your Wi-Fi network.
- Open the app, tap Add Printer, and follow the instructions to detect and register your TS701a.
- Print documents and photos directly from your mobile device.
Troubleshooting Steps
- Printer not connecting to wi-fi:
- Possible Causes: Incorrect password, weak, signal or outdated firmware.
- Solutions:
- Ensure your Wi-Fi password is correct
- Place the printer close to the router
- Re-run Easy Wireless Connect
- Press Setup >Wi-Fi Setup >Easy Wireless Connect
- Restart the router and printer
- Check for firmware updates via Canon’s official website
- Print Not Detected by computer or mobile:
- Solutions:
- Ensure both printer and device are on the same Wi-Fi network
- Restart your printer and device
- Reinstall the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app (for mobile)
- For USB connection, ensure the cable is securely connected
- On Windows/Mac, reinstall the printer driver

- Turn off the printer
- Gently remove jammed paper from the rear tray, output slot, or inside the printer
- Check for torn paper pieces
- Restart the printer

- Check ink levels and replace cartridges if needed
- Run Print Head Cleaning:
- Press Setup >Maintenance>Cleaning
- Perform Print Head Alignment via the same menu
- Ensure you’re using compatible paper
