Overview

The Canon PIXMA TS6250 is a compact, all-in-one inkjet printer designed for home use. It offers wireless connectivity for smart devices and the cloud, including printing, copying, and scanning capabilities. The printer features a 7.5cm touchscreen, auto 2-sided printing, and uses 5 individual ink tanks.

Unboxing & Initial Setup

  1. Take the printer out of the box.
  2. Take out all the accessories and remove the packaging.
  3. Remove and discard the protective tape from outside and inside.
  4. Connect the power cord to turn the printer on.
  5. Install the toner cartridges.
  6. Load paper into the paper trays.

Canon TS6250 setup on Windows

  • Setting up Guide for Windows:

1. Prepare the printer:

  • Unpack the printer and ensure all protective materials are removed. 
  • Connect the power cable and turn on the printer. 
  • If using wireless, you’ll need to connect the printer to your home Wi-Fi network. 
  • If using a USB connection, connect the printer to your computer with a USB cable. 

2. Connect the printer to your network (if wireless):

  • Network Setup: Follow the instructions in the “Setup Guide – TS6200 series” to connect the printer to your network. 
  • Wi-Fi Setup: You can use the printer’s built-in Wi-Fi setup to connect it to your wireless router. 

3. Install the printer driver:

  • Driver Download: Download the latest printer driver from the Canon support website. 
  • Driver Installation: Follow the instructions in the “Adding Printers” to add the printer to your Windows computer. 

4. Optional: Install additional software:

  • Canon Inkjet Print Utility: Download and install the Canon Inkjet Print Utility for enhanced printing features. 
  • My Print: Download and install My Print for more advanced printing options, Canon website.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1. Check for Paper Jams:
  2. Open the printer’s paper output slot and check for any jammed paper.
  3. If you find paper, carefully remove it.
  4. Check the rear tray and inside the printer for any paper debris.
  5. 2. Check Ink Levels:
  6. If the printer is not printing, check the ink levels on the control panel.
  7. Replace any empty ink cartridges.
  8. 3. Restart Printer and Computer:
  9. Unplug the printer from the power outlet and wait for a few seconds.
  10. Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
  11. Restart your computer.
  12. 4. Check Wireless Connection:
  13. Ensure the printer and your computer or smartphone are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  14. If using a USB cable, ensure it is securely connected.
  15. 5. Clean Print Head:
  16. If printing lines or streaks, try cleaning the print head.
  17. This can be done through the printer’s control panel or software.
  18. 6. Check Printer Settings:
  19. Ensure the correct paper type and settings are selected in your software.
  20. Check the printer’s control panel for any error messages.
