Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Take the printer out of the box.
- Take out all the accessories and remove the packaging.
- Remove and discard the protective tape from outside and inside.
- Connect the power cord to turn the printer on.
- Install the toner cartridges.
- Load paper into the paper trays.

Canon TS5160 setup on Windows
- Driver Installation:
- Driver Download Links are on the bottom of the page.
- Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
- Connection Setup:
- Wireless Setup:
- On the printer, navigate to Menu > Settings > LAN Settings > Wireless LAN Setup.
- Choose your Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
- Follow the instructions in the driver installer to complete the connection.
- USB Setup:
- Connect the printer to your Windows PC using a USB cable.
- Wireless Setup:
- Using the Printer:
- Printing: Open your document, select File > Print, and choose the TS5160.
- Scanning: Use the Canon IJ Scan Utility or Windows Fax and Scan.

- Driver Installation:
- Driver Download Links are on the bottom of the page.
- Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners > Add (+) and select the TS5160. If it doesn’t appear, ensure the driver is installed and retry.
- Connection Setup:
- Use the printer’s Wireless LAN Setup to connect to your Wi-Fi network.
- Alternatively, connect the printer to your Mac via USB.
- Using the Printer:
- Printing: Select the TS5160 in the print dialog box.
- Scanning: Use Image Capture or the Canon IJ Scan Utility.

- AirPrint Setup:
- Ensure the TS5160 and your iOS device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Open a document or photo, tap Share > Print, and select the TS5160.
- Canon PRINT App:
- Download the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app from the App Store.
- Use the app for advanced features like scanning or photo printing.
- Wi-Fi Direct:
- If a Wi-Fi network is unavailable, enable Wi-Fi Direct on the printer and connect your iOS device directly to the printer’s network.

- Canon PRINT App:
- Download the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app from the Google Play Store.
- Use the app to configure the printer, print documents or photos, and manage settings.
- Wi-Fi Direct:
- Enable Wi-Fi Direct on the printer and connect your Android device directly to its network.
- Printing:
- Use the Canon PRINT app or Android’s built-in printing feature under Settings > Connected Devices > Printing.

- Direct Printing:
- Ensure the TS5160 and your Chromebook are on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Open Settings > Advanced > Printing > Printers > Add Printer on your Chromebook.
