Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Take the printer out of the box.
- Take out all the accessories and remove the packaging.
- Remove and discard the protective tape from outside and inside.
- Connect the power cord to turn the printer on.
- Install the toner cartridges.
- Load paper into the paper trays.

- Download and Install Drivers:

- Download the “TS5100 series Full Driver & Software Package (Windows)” compatible with your Windows version.
- Run the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
- Connect the Printer:

- During installation, select “Wireless LAN Connection” when prompted.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
- Ensure your computer is connected to the same network as the printer.

- Open the installer package and follow the on-screen instructions.

- Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
- Ensure your Mac is connected to the same network as the printer.

- Using AirPrint:
- Ensure your iOS device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.
- Open the document or photo you wish to print.
- Tap the “Share” icon and select “Print.”
- Choose your Canon TS5151 printer from the list and tap “Print.”
- Using Canon PRINT App:
- Download the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app from the App Store.
- Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to add your printer.

- Using Canon PRINT App:
- Download the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app from the Google Play Store.
- Ensure your Android device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.
- Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to add your printer.
- Using Mopria Print Service:
- Install the Mopria Print Service from the Google Play Store.
- Enable the service and select your Canon TS5151 printer when printing documents or photos.
Canon TS5151 setup on Chromebook
- Ensure your Chromebook and printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Click the status area (bottom-right corner) and select the settings gear icon.
- Scroll down to “Advanced” and select “Printing.”
- Click “Printers,” then “Add Printer.”
- Your Chromebook should detect the Canon TS5151. Select it and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
Troubleshooting Steps
- Printer not connecting to wi-fi:
- Possible Causes: Incorrect password, weak, signal or outdated firmware.
- Solutions:
- Ensure your Wi-Fi password is correct
- Place the printer close to the router
- Re-run Easy Wireless Connect
- Press Setup >Wi-Fi Setup >Easy Wireless Connect
- Restart the router and printer
- Check for firmware updates via Canon’s official website
- Print Not Detected by computer or mobile:
- Solutions:
- Ensure both printer and device are on the same Wi-Fi network
- Restart your printer and device
- Reinstall the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app (for mobile)
- For USB connection, ensure the cable is securely connected
- On Windows/Mac, reinstall the printer driver

- Turn off the printer
- Gently remove jammed paper from the rear tray, output slot, or inside the printer
- Check for torn paper pieces
- Restart the printer

- Poor Print Quality (Faded, Streaks, Missing Colors):

- Check ink levels and replace cartridges if needed
- Run Print Head Cleaning:
- Press Setup >Maintenance>Cleaning
- Perform Print Head Alignment via the same menu
- Ensure you’re using compatible paper
