Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Take the printer out of the box.
- Take out all the accessories and remove the packaging.
- Remove and discard the protective tape from outside and inside.
- Connect the power cord to turn the printer on.
- Install the toner cartridges.
- Load paper into the paper trays.

Canon TS5051 setup on Windows
- Connect via USB or WiFi
- For USB, plug the cable into your PC.
- For Wi-Fi, go to settings> Wireless LAN setup on the printer
- Select the WiFi network and enter the password.
- Download drivers from the bottom of the page
- Follow on screen instructions to complete driver installation
- Print a test page to confirm normal operation
Canon TS5051 setup on macOS
- Connect via USB or WiFi
- For USB, plug the cable into your PC.
- For Wi-Fi, go to settings> Wireless LAN setup on the printer
- Select the WiFi network and enter the password.
- Download drivers from the bottom of the page
- Follow on screen instructions to complete the installation
- Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
- Click the ‘+’ button, select the Canon TS5051, and click Add.
- Print Test Page to confirm the setup is complete
Canon TS5051 setup on iPhone & iPad
- On the printer 3’ LCD screen, go to Settings>Wireless LAN setup
- Select the WiFi network and enter the password to connect the printer
- Download Canon Print App from the App Store
- Install the app and give necessary permissions
- Make sure both the printer and iOS device are connected to the same WiFi network
- Open a photo or document, tap Share, then Print.
- Choose the TS5051 from the printer list and tap Print.
Canon TS5051 setup on Android
- On the printer 3’ LCD screen, go to Settings> Wireless LAN Setup
- Select the WiFi network and enter the password to connect the printer
- Download Canon Print App from Google Play Store
- Install the app and give necessary permissions
- Open the Canon Print app and follow the prompts to find and select your Canon TS5051.
- Ensure both the printer and Android device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Open any document or photo on your Android device.
- Tap the Share icon, select Print, and choose the Canon TS5051.
Canon TS5051 setup on Chromebook
- On the printer’s 3” LCD screen, go to Settings > Wireless LAN Setup.
- Select the Wi-Fi network and enter the password to connect the printer.
- Add Printer to Chromebook:
- On your Chromebook, click the time in the bottom right corner and open Settings.
- Scroll down to Advanced and click Printers.
- Click Add Printer. Your Canon TS5051 should appear in the list of available printers.
- Select the Canon TS5051 from the printer list, and print a test page to confirm setup.
Troubleshooting Steps
- Check the power:
Check the printer plug and the wall outlet both are securely connected - Check the cartridges:
Make sure the ink cartridges are placed correctly. There should be enough ink and cartridges should be compatible with the model of the printer - Check paper:
If the papers are not arranged correctly, take out the paper tray and straighten them up. There should be no jams in the printer - Check WiFi connection:
Ensure your printer and device are connected to the same network
Make sure that the WiFi connection is stable - Reset the printer:
Resetting the printer can resolve many issues - Update printer drivers:
If drivers are outdated, check for newer ones
