Overview

The Canon TS 4500 is a compact, all-in-one inkjet printer designed for home and small office use, offering printing, scanning, copying, and faxing capabilities with wireless connectivity. It connects to smart devices via Wi-Fi, allowing for wireless printing and scanning from smartphones and cloud services, and uses Canon PG-245XL and CL-246XL ink cartridges.

Unboxing & Initial Setup

  1. Remove all packaging material and protective tapes from the printer
  2. Take out documentation material, power cord and other accessories from the box.
  3. Connect the power cord and turn ON the printer
  4. Install the ink cartridges
  5. Load paper into the paper tray

Canon TS4500 setup on Windows

Setting up Guide for Windows:

  1. Download the Software:
  1. Locate the series driver setup package. 
  2. Click the download button to get the installer file. 

     2. Run the Installer:

  1. Open the downloaded file and select “Yes” if prompted by User Account Control. 
  2. Close the web browser and then select “Start Setup” to begin the installation process. 

     3. Connect to a Network:

  1. The software will guide you through the connection process. You can connect via a wireless network or a temporary direct connection. 
  2. Allow the software to find and connect to your printer. 

     4. Complete Installation:

  1. Allow the installation of updates and follow the remaining prompts to finish the driver installation. Your computer should now recognize and be able to use the  printer.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Check for Paper and Jams: Ensure the printer has paper loaded and that no paper is jammed in the paper path.
  2. Verify Ink Cartridge Installation:
  3. Remove and re-install the ink cartridges, ensuring no packing tape is left on them.
  4. Check the gold contact pins on the cartridges and in the printer for ink or debris; clean them gently with a paper towel or alcohol swab if needed, letting them dry before re-inserting.
  5. Confirm Power: Make sure the printer is powered on and has no warning lights illuminated.
  6. Check Connections:USB: Ensure the USB cable is securely plugged into both the printer and the computer.
  7. Wi-Fi: Print a network configuration page from the printer to check the Wi-Fi connection status.
  8. Restart the Printer: Power the printer off, unplug it, wait a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on.
