Unboxing & Initial Setup

  1. Take the printer out of the box.
  2. Take out all the accessories and remove the packaging.
  3. Remove and discard the protective tape from outside and inside.
  4. Plug in the printer, and turn it on.
  5. Open the panel and install the cartridges.
  6. Load preferred paper into the tray.

Canon TS3165 setup on Windows

  1. Press and hold the Wireless button until the power light flashes, then press the Black button once and the Wireless button again.
  2. Wait for the Wi-Fi lamp to flash, indicating Easy Wireless Connect mode is enabled.
  3. Download drivers and software drivers from the bottom of the page.
  4. Run the installer and select Start Setup, then follow the on-screen instructions.
  5. Choose Wireless LAN Connection as your connection method.
  6. The software will detect your printer on the same Wi-Fi network and complete the setup.
  7. Register the printer when prompted and finish installation.
  8. Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers to confirm the printer is listed.
  9. Print a test page to ensure successful installation and connectivity.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Check the power
  2. Check the printer plug and the wall outlet both are securely connected
  3. Check the cartridges
  4. Make sure the ink cartridges are placed correctly. Also make sure that there is enough ink and that the cartridges fit the model of your printer
  5. Check paper
  6. If the papers are not arranged correctly, take out the paper tray and straighten them up. Make sure there are no jams in the printer. You can now shut off the paper tray.
  7. Check Wi-Fi connection
  8. Ensure that your printer and device are connected to the same network.
  9. Make sure that the Wi-Fi is stable
  10. Reset the printer
  11. Resetting the printer can resolve many issues
  12. Update printer drivers
  13. If the drivers are outdated, check for newer ones
