The Canon imagePROGRAF TC-21 is a compact 24-inch large-format desktop printer designed for professionals who need high-quality technical documents, CAD drawings, posters, and signage. Compact yet powerful, the TC-21 is ideal for architects, educators, engineers, and marketers needing reliable large-format output in limited spaces.

Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Remove packaging materials.
- Plug in the printer, and turn it on.
- Open the front panel and install the cartridges.
- Load preferred paper into the tray.

Canon TC-21 setup on Windows
Setting it up on Windows:
- On the 2.7-inch touchscreen, follow the prompts to select your language and region.
- Go to Settings → LAN Settings to set up a Wi-Fi or Ethernet network connection.
- Download drivers and software package from the bottom of the page
- Run the downloaded installer and follow on-screen instructions.
- Choose Wireless LAN, Wired LAN, or USB during setup based on your preferred connection type.
- The installer will detect the printer—confirm and complete the installation.
- After setup, go to Control Panel → Devices and Printers to verify printer installation.
- Print a test page to confirm the connection.
Canon TC-21 setup on macOS
Setting it up on Mac:
- Go to LAN Settings → Wireless LAN Setup (for Wi-Fi) or Wired LAN Setup (for Ethernet).
- Connect the printer to your preferred network by following the on-screen prompts.
- Download software package and drivers from the bottom of the page
- Open the .dmg file and follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver.
- Choose Network Connection when prompted and wait for the installer to detect the printer.
- Once setup is complete, open System Settings → Printers & Scanners, and click +.
- Select the Canon TC-21 from the list and click Add.
- Print a test page to confirm setup.
Canon TC-21 setup on iPhone & iPad
Setting it up on iOS:
- On the printer’s 2.7-inch touchscreen, go to LAN Settings → Wireless LAN Setup, and follow prompts to connect to your Wi-Fi network.
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the App Store and install the Canon Print app.
- Launch the app and allow it to access Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and notifications when prompted.
- Tap Add Printer → Register Printer → Auto Search to scan for available printers.
- Select Canon TC-21 when it appears in the list and complete the setup by following the on-screen instructions.
- Once connected, you can print documents, images, or webpages directly from your iOS device using the Canon Print app.
- You can also print without an app using AirPrint from compatible apps like Safari, Mail, or Photos.
Canon TC-21 setup on Android
Setting it up on Android:
- On the printer’s touchscreen, go to LAN Settings → Wireless LAN Setup, and connect it to your Wi-Fi network.
- On your Android device, open the Google Play Store and install the Canon Print app.
- Launch the app and grant necessary permissions (Wi-Fi, location, etc.).
- Tap Add Printer → Register Printer → Auto Search.
- Wait while the app scans and finds the Canon TC-21 connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Select the printer from the list and follow the on-screen instructions to complete pairing.
- Once connected, you can print photos, PDFs, web pages, and documents directly from your Android phone or tablet.
Canon TC-21 setup on Chromebook
Setting it up on Chromebook:
- On the printer’s 2.7-inch touchscreen, go to LAN Settings → Wireless LAN Setup, and connect it to your Wi-Fi network.
- On your Chromebook, click the clock in the lower-right corner, then click the gear icon to open Settings.
- Scroll down and select Advanced, then go to Printing → Printers.
- Click Add Printer; your Chromebook will search for available printers on the same Wi-Fi network.
- When Canon TC-21 appears, click Add to install it.
- Confirm the default print settings or adjust them as needed.
- To test the connection, open any document or webpage and press Ctrl + P.
- Choose the Canon TC-21 from the printer list, then click Print.
Troubleshooting Steps
- Printer not connecting to wi-fi:
- Possible Causes: Incorrect password, weak, signal or outdated firmware.
- Solutions:
- Ensure your Wi-Fi password is correct
- Place the printer close to the router
- Re-run Easy Wireless Connect
- Press Setup >Wi-Fi Setup >Easy Wireless Connect
- Restart the router and printer
- Check for firmware updates via Canon’s official website
- Print Not Detected by computer or mobile:
- Solutions:
- Ensure both printer and device are on the same Wi-Fi network
- Restart your printer and device
- Reinstall the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app (for mobile)
- For USB connection, ensure the cable is securely connected
- On Windows/Mac, reinstall the printer driver

- Paper Jam:

- Turn off the printer
- Gently remove jammed paper from the rear tray, output slot, or inside the printer
- Check for torn paper pieces
- Restart the printer
- Solutions:
- Poor Print Quality (Faded, Streaks, Missing Colors):
- Solution:
- Check ink levels and replace cartridges if needed
- Run Print Head Cleaning:
- Press Setup >Maintenance>Cleaning
- Perform Print Head Alignment via the same menu
- Ensure you’re using compatible paper
- Solution:
