Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Take the printer out of the box.
- Take out all the accessories and remove the packaging.
- Remove and discard the protective tape from outside and inside.
- Plug in the printer, and turn it on.
- Open the panel and install the cartridges.
- Load preferred paper into the tray.

Canon Pro10S setup on Windows
Setting it up on Windows:
- Download the latest drivers and software package from the bottom of the page.
- Run the setup file and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Choose your connection type: USB, Wi-Fi, or Ethernet.
- For wireless setup, press and hold the Wi-Fi button until the light flashes, then connect via WPS or manual settings.
- The software will detect the printer and complete driver installation.
- Register the printer and set it as default if prompted.
- Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers to verify installation.
- Print a test image to confirm the setup was successful and colours are accurate.
Canon Pro10S setup on macOS
Setting it up on Mac:
- Download drivers and software package from the bottom of the page
- Open the downloaded .dmg file and follow the on-screen installation instructions.
- Choose the connection method: USB, Wi-Fi, or Ethernet.
- For Wi-Fi setup, press and hold the Wi-Fi button on the printer until the indicator flashes, then use WPS or manual network entry.
- On your Mac, go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners, click “+”, and select the PRO-10S from the list.
- Complete the printer registration and set it as the default if desired.
- Print a test photo to confirm successful setup and image quality.
Canon Pro10S setup on iPhone & iPad
Setting it up on iOS:
- Connect the printer to Wi-Fi by pressing and holding the Wi-Fi button until the light flashes, then use WPS or manual network setup.
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the App Store and install the Canon Print app.
- Launch the app and grant all required permissions (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc.).
- Tap Add Printer > Register Printer > Auto Search to detect printers on the same network.
- Select the PIXMA PRO-10S from the list when it appears.
- If it doesn’t show, tap Manual Setup and enter the printer’s IP address (available via a network configuration printout).
- Once registered, you can use the app to print photos, documents, and check printer status.
- You can also print directly from iOS apps using AirPrint—no extra drivers needed.
- Print a test page to confirm successful setup.
Canon Pro10S setup on Android
Setting it up on Android:
- Connect the printer to Wi-Fi: press and hold the Wi-Fi button until the light flashes, then connect via WPS or manual setup.
- On your Android device, go to the Google Play Store and download the Canon Print app.
- Open the app and accept all necessary permissions (Wi-Fi, location, etc.).
- Tap Add Printer > Register Printer > Auto Search.
- The app will scan your Wi-Fi network and display available printers.
- Select the Canon PRO-10S when it appears.
- If the printer is not found, tap Manual Setup and enter the printer’s IP address.
- Once connected, the printer will be registered within the app.
- You can now print photos, documents, and monitor ink levels from your phone.
- Optionally, install the Canon Print Service Plugin for native Android printing.
- Print a test document to ensure everything is working.
Canon Pro10S setup on Chromebook
Setting it up on Chromebook:
- Connect the printer to Wi-Fi by pressing and holding the Wi-Fi button until the light flashes, then use WPS or manual network setup.
- On your Chromebook, click the time at the bottom-right and go to Settings.
- Scroll down and click Advanced > Printing > Printers.
- Your Canon PRO-10S should appear under Available Printers. Click Add next to it.
- If it doesn’t show up, click Add Printer manually.
- Enter the printer name, and input the printer’s IP address (found via the printer’s network config printout).
- Select IPP as the protocol and choose Generic or Canon Inkjet as the driver.
- Click Add to complete the setup.
- Open a document or photo and press Ctrl + P, then select the PRO-10S to print.
- Run a test print to verify setup and connectivity.
Troubleshooting Steps
- Check the power
- Check the printer plug and the wall outlet both are securely connected
- Check the cartridges
- Make sure the ink cartridges are placed correctly. Also make sure that there is enough ink and that the cartridges fit the model of your printer
- Check paper
- If the papers are not arranged correctly, take out the paper tray and straighten them up. Make sure there are no jams in the printer. You can now shut off the paper tray.
- Check Wi-Fi connection
- Ensure that your printer and device are connected to the same network.
- Make sure that the Wi-Fi is stable
- Reset the printer
- Resetting the printer can resolve many issues
- Update printer drivers
- If the drivers are outdated, check for newer ones
