Overview

Canon PIXMA TS5300 is an easy to use wireless inkjet printer. It is designed for homes, students and small businesses. It supports wireless printing. Canon PIXMA TS5300 produces sharp texts with vivid images.

Unboxing & Initial Setup

  1. Carefully unpack your PIXMA TS5300 printer from the box.
  2. Remove all packaging materials and protective tapes from the printer.
  3. Find the power cord provided in the box.
  4. Connect one end of the power cord to the printer’s power port located at the back of the printer.
  5. Plug the other end of the power cord into a power outlet.
  6. Open the front cover of the printer to access the ink cartridge slots.
  7. Remove the protective cover from the ink cartridge slots.
  8. Insert the ink cartridges into their corresponding slots. Ensure that each cartridge is securely in place.
  9. Close the front cover of the printer.
  10. Load a stack of plain paper into the tray. Make sure the paper is aligned properly and not exceeding the maximum capacity.

Setting Up Canon TS5300 on Windows

Step 1: Unbox and Prepare the Printer

  1. Unbox the Canon TS5300 and remove all packaging materials.
  2. Plug in the power cable and turn on the printer.
  3. Install the ink cartridges and load paper into the paper tray.

Step 2: Install Printer Drivers

  1. Driver Download Links are in the bottom of the page.
  2. Download the latest Windows drivers and run the setup file.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

Step 3: Connect via Wi-Fi or USB

  • USB connection: Connect the printer to your Windows PC using a USB cable.
  • Wi-Fi connection:
    1. Press and hold the Wi-Fi button until the Wi-Fi light starts flashing.
    2. Use the Canon Setup Utility to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.

Step 4: Add Printer to Windows

  1. Open Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
  2. Click Add a Printer or Scanner and select Canon TS5300.
  3. Click Add Device to complete the setup.

Your Canon TS5300 is now ready for printing on Windows!

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Printer Not Detected?
    • Ensure your printer and device are on the same Wi-Fi network.
    • Restart both the printer and the device.
    • If using USB, check the cable connection.
  2. Slow Printing?
    • Ensure your Wi-Fi signal is strong.
    • If issues persist, connect via USB for a more stable connection.
  3. Driver Issues?
    • Make sure you have downloaded the latest printer drivers from Canon’s official website.
