Unboxing & Initial Setup

  1. Remove all packaging material and protective tapes from the printer
  2. Take out documentation material, power cord and other accessories from the box.
  3. Connect the power cord and turn ON the printer
  4. Install the ink cartridges
  5. Load paper into the paper tray

Setting up Guide for Windows:

1.Install the drivers and software:

  1. From the CD: Insert the CD into your computer’s CD drive. If the setup program doesn’t start automatically, locate the file on the CD and double-click it.
  2. Download the necessary drivers and software for your Windows version.
  3. Install the software, selecting your country/region and accepting the license agreement.

2. Connect the printer:

  1. Connect the printer to your computer using the USB cable.
  2. The installation process should prompt you to connect the printer and may automatically detect it.

4. Verify the setup:

  1. After completing the setup, you can print a test page to confirm that the printer is properly installed and functioning.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1. Hardware Check:
  2. Make sure the printer is turned on and has paper and ink.
  3. Look for any error messages or warning lights on the printer and consult the manual for their meanings.
  4. If the printer isn’t responding, check the USB connection (if applicable) or the wireless network connection (if applicable).
  5. 2. Software and Driver Issues:
  6. If the printer isn’t recognized by your computer, try reinstalling the MP Drivers If you’re using Windows, try running the built-in printer troubleshooter.
  7. Ensure that the “Use Printer Offline” option is not enabled on your computer.
  8. 3. Paper Jams:
  9. If the printer indicates a paper jam, open the appropriate covers and carefully remove any jammed paper.
  10. Ensure all pieces of paper are removed, including any small torn pieces that may be stuck inside.
  11. Reload the paper correctly.
  12. 4. Print Quality Issues:
  13. If prints are streaked or faded, try cleaning the print heads. This can be done through the printer’s maintenance menu.
  14. You can also run a nozzle check to see if any of the print head nozzles are clogged.
  15. If cleaning doesn’t resolve the issue, you may need to replace the ink cartridges.
