Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Remove all packaging material and protective tapes from the printer
- Take out documentation material, power cord and other accessories from the box.
- Connect the power cord and turn ON the printer
- Install the ink cartridges
- Load paper into the paper tray

Setting up Guide for Windows:
1.Install the drivers and software:
- From the CD: Insert the CD into your computer’s CD drive. If the setup program doesn’t start automatically, locate the file on the CD and double-click it.
- Download the necessary drivers and software for your Windows version.
- Install the software, selecting your country/region and accepting the license agreement.
2. Connect the printer:
- Connect the printer to your computer using the USB cable.
- The installation process should prompt you to connect the printer and may automatically detect it.
3. Choosing your connection type (USB).
- Performing a test print to ensure the printer is working correctly.
4. Verify the setup:
- After completing the setup, you can print a test page to confirm that the printer is properly installed and functioning.

Setting up Guide for MAC:
1. Download Drivers:
- Download the appropriate printer and scanner drivers for your macOS version.
- Specifically, download the “MX925 series CUPS Printer Driver” and the “MX925 series Scanner Driver”.
2. Connect the Printer:.
- Connect the printer to your Mac using the USB cable.
3. Add the Printer in System Settings:
- Click on the Apple menu and select “System Settings”.
- Click on “Printers & Scanners” in the sidebar.
- If your printer is already listed, select it. If not, click the “Add Printers, Scanners, or Fax” button.
- Your printer should be listed. Select it and click “Add”.
4. Install Drivers:
- install the printer and scanner drivers.
- The system may automatically download and install the drivers, or you may need to locate and select the downloaded driver files.
5. Test Printing:
- Once the printer is added and the drivers are installed, you can test the connection by printing a test page.

Setting up Guide for Android:
- Install Canon Print Service:
- On your Android device, go to the Google Play Store and search for “Canon Print Service”.
- Download and install the app.
- After installation, enable the Canon Print Service.
2. Connect Printer and Device to the Same Network:
- Ensure your Canon PIXMA MX925 is connected to your Wi-Fi network.
- Verify that your Android device is also connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
3. Register the Printer:
- Open the Canon Print Service app.
- The app should automatically detect and register your printer.
- If prompted, tap on your printer to register it.
4. Print from Your Android Device:
- Open the document or image you wish to print.
- Tap the “Share” or “Print” option (often found in the three-dot menu).
- Select your Canon printer from the list of available printers.
- Adjust print settings (if needed) and tap “Print”.

Setting up Guide for Chromebook:
- Access Chromebook Settings:
- On your Chromebook, click the time in the bottom right corner to open the system tray.
- Select “Settings”.
- Click on “Advanced” at the bottom of the settings page.
- Under “Printing,” select “Printers”.
2. Add the Printer:
- Click “Add printer”.
- You’ll need to enter the printer’s information.
- Click “Add”.
3. Printing:
- Once the printer is added, you should be able to select it when printing from your Chromebook.
4. Scanning:
- If you also want to scan, you’ll need to use the Canon PRINT app or other compatible scanning software on your Chromebook, according to Canon.
Troubleshooting Steps
- 1. Hardware Check:
- Make sure the printer is turned on and has paper and ink.
- Look for any error messages or warning lights on the printer and consult the manual for their meanings.
- If the printer isn’t responding, check the USB connection (if applicable) or the wireless network connection (if applicable).
- 2. Software and Driver Issues:
- If the printer isn’t recognized by your computer, try reinstalling the MP Drivers If you’re using Windows, try running the built-in printer troubleshooter.
- Ensure that the “Use Printer Offline” option is not enabled on your computer.
- 3. Paper Jams:
- If the printer indicates a paper jam, open the appropriate covers and carefully remove any jammed paper.
- Ensure all pieces of paper are removed, including any small torn pieces that may be stuck inside.
- Reload the paper correctly.
- 4. Print Quality Issues:
- If prints are streaked or faded, try cleaning the print heads. This can be done through the printer’s maintenance menu.
- You can also run a nozzle check to see if any of the print head nozzles are clogged.
- If cleaning doesn’t resolve the issue, you may need to replace the ink cartridges.
