Overview
Canon PIXMA MX725 is a multifunctional inkjet printer offering printing, scanning and copying. It uses 5 individual inks with ChromaLife100+ for high quality images and clear prints. Canon PIXMA MX725 comes with included software like MP Driver with Scanning Utility, Quick Menu, My Image Garden, Easy-Web Print EX.

Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Take the printer out of the box.
- Take out all the accessories and remove the packaging.
- Remove and discard the protective tape.
- Connect the power cord to turn the printer on.
- Install the ink.
- Load paper.

Canon MX725 setup on Windows
Setting up Canon PIXMA MX725 – Windows (wi-fi):
- Prepare the printer:
- Press the menu button.
- Use the four way arrows to the right of the display, select WLAN and press ok.
- Now press and hold the WPS button on your router.
- Then press the ok button on the printer.
- Press ok to confirm the connection and press the copy button to return the main screen.
- Download the Drivers:
- Download and install the driver from the bottom of the page.
- Once the installation is completed, run the installed file.
- Print the Test page:
- Print a test page to confirm the setup.
USB Setup (Wired Setup):
- Download the Drivers:
- Download and install the necessary drivers from the bottom of the page.
- Once the driver installation is completed, run the installed file.
- Connect the USB Cable to your printer:
- Plug the USB cable to your printer and the other end to your PC.
- Go to the settings of your PC.
- Search for bluetooth and devices.
- Click on Printers and Scanners.
- From the available printers list select your Canon PIXMA MX725.
- Print the Test page:
- Print a test page to confirm the setup.

Setting up Canon PIXMA MX725 – Mac (Wi-fi):
- Prepare the printer:
- Press the menu button.

- Download Drivers:
- Download the driver package from the bottom of the page.
- Once the installation is completed , run the file.
- Connect the USB Cable to your printer:
- Plug the USB cable to your printer and the other end to your Mac.
- On your Mac click on the system preference option.
- Now click on Printer and Scanners.
- The available printers list will appear on the screen, select your Canon PIXMA MX725.
- Print the Test page:
- Print a test page to confirm the setup.

Setting up Canon PIXMA MX725 – IOS:
- Connect to the Wifi:
- Turn on your Canon PIXMA MX725.
- Make sure your Iphone/Ipad is connected to the secure internet connection.
- Ensure that your printer and device are on the same network.
- Install the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY App:
- Go to the app store.
- Search for the “Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY App”.
- Download and install the app.
- Add printer:
- Go to the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app.
- Now follow the on-screen instructions to add your printer.
- App will search for the available printers, Select your Canon PIXMA MX725 from the available list.
- Click on Add printer.
- Print the Test page:
- Print a test page to confirm the setup.
Canon MX725 setup on Android
Setting up Canon PIXMA MX725 – Android:
- Install the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY App:
- Download the app from the play store.
- Add the printer on the app:
- Click on the add icon on the phone.
- Now click on the register printer.
- Select your Canon PIXMA MX725.
- Now the printer is installed on your phone.
- Print the Test page:
- Print a test page to confirm the setup.
Troubleshooting Steps
- Printer not connecting to wifi:
- Possible Causes: Incorrect password, weak, signal or outdated firmware.
- Solutions:
- Ensure your Wi-Fi password is correct
- Place the printer close to the router
- Re-run Easy Wireless Connect
- Press Setup >Wi-Fi Setup >Easy Wireless Connect
- Restart the router and printer
- Check for firmware updates via Canon’s official website
- Print Not Detected by computer or mobile:
- Solutions:
- Ensure both printer and device are on the same Wi-Fi network
- Restart your printer and device
- Reinstall the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app (for mobile)
- For USB connection, ensure the cable is securely connected
- On Windows/Mac, reinstall the printer driver

- Paper Jam:
- Solutions:
- Turn off the printer
- Gently remove jammed paper from the rear tray, output slot, or inside the printer
- Check for torn paper pieces
- Restart the printer
- Solutions:
- Poor Print Quality (Faded, Streaks, Missing Colors)
- Solution:
- Check ink levels and replace cartridges if needed
- Run Print Head Cleaning:
- Press Setup >Maintenance>Cleaning
- Perform Print Head Alignment via the same menu
- Ensure you’re using compatible paper
- Solution:
