Canon PIXMA MP270 is an affordable home printer which offers printing, copying, scanning. It provides excellent print quality and text. Canon PIXMA MP270 is a part of Canon’s FINE cartridge system which is known for its sharp text and vibrant image quality. It has a picked bridge port for connecting a digital camera. Canon PIXMA MP270 comes with an easy web print e feature which can trim out unwanted images from the web pages which eventually helps in saving ink.

Unboxing & Initial Setup

  1. Cut the seal and open the flaps to open the box.
  2. Take out any included manuals, power cables, and USB devices.
  3. Remove the printer’s foam and plastic by lifting it out.
  4. Remove the tape, peel off the orange and blue tapes on the outside and inside.
  5. Connect the power cord to turn the printer on.
  6. Install the toner cartridges.
  7. Load paper into the paper trays.

Canon MP270 setup on Windows

Setup guide for Canon PIXMA MP270 on Windows with USB:

  1. Turn the printer on:
    Plug into the power cord and press the power button to turn the printer on.
  2. Connect the Printer to Your PC:
    Plug the USB cable into the printer and connect the other end to your PC.
  3. Download Drivers:
    Download and install the full driver package from the bottom of the page.
    When the installation is completed, run the installer file and follow the on-screen instructions.
  4. Print the Test page:
    Print a test page to confirm the setup.

Troubleshooting Steps

  • Check the power:
    Check the printer plug and the wall outlet both are securely connected.
  • Check the cartridges:
    Make sure the ink cartridges are placed correctly. Also, ensure that there is enough ink.
  • Check paper:
    If the papers are not arranged correctly, take them out of the paper tray and straighten them up.                                                                                          Make sure that the paper tray is not jammed. 
  • Check Wi-Fi Connection (If Available):
    Ensure that your printer and device are connected to the same network.
    Make sure that the WIFI connection is stable.
  • Update the Driver: 
    Outdated drivers may cause problems. 
    Check for the latest driver updates for your printer model.
    Download and install the updated driver.
