Overview
Canon PIXMA MG5350 is a versatile wireless printer which also offers scanning and copying. It is focused on high quality photo and document printing. Canon PIXMA MG5350 comes with gray ink for superior monochrome. It is compact in design.

Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Open the box and lift the printer out of the box.
- Remove the packaging wraps.
- Remove all the protective tape from the printer.
- Connect the power cord, and then press the ON button.
- Open the cover, wait until the print head carriage swings into the place.
- Remove the wrappers from the ink tanks.
- Fit each ink tank into the printer.
- Close the cover.
- Open the paper tray from the front and place some sheets of paper in it.

Canon MG5350 setup on Windows
Setting up Canon PIXMA MG5350 – Windows (Wifi):
- Connect the wifi to the printer:
a. Ensure the printer and computer are connected on the same network.
b. Now search for a wireless network.
c. Select your network.
d. Enter the password.
e. Connect Canon PIXMA MG5350 to your selected wifi network.
f. Your printer is connected.
- Download the Drivers:
a. Download and install the driver from the bottom of the page.
b. Once the installation is completed, run the installed file.
- Print the Test page:
a. Print a test page to confirm the setup.
USB Setup (Wired Setup):
- Download the Drivers:
a. Download and install the necessary drivers from the bottom of the page.
b. Once the driver installation is completed, run the installed file.
- Connect the USB Cable to your printer:
a. Plug the USB cable to your printer and the other end to your PC.
b. Go to the settings of your PC.
c. Search for bluetooth and devices.
d. Click on Printers and Scanners.
e. From the available printers list select your Canon PIXMA MG5350.
- Print the Test page:
a. Print a test page to confirm the setup.

Setting up Canon PIXMA MG5350 – Mac (Wifi):
- Download Drivers:
a. Download the driver package from the bottom of the page.
b. Once the installation is completed , run the installed file.
- Connect the Printer to wifi:
a. Select wifi connection.
b. Enter the password.
c. Connect Canon PIXMA MG5350 to your selected wifi network.
- Add Printer:
a. Open the system preferences > Printers & Scanners.
b. Select your printer and click Add.
- Print the Test page:
a. Print a test page to confirm the setup.
USB Setup (Wired Setup):
- Download Drivers:
a. Download the driver package from the bottom of the page.
b. Once the installation is completed , run the file.
- Connect the USB Cable to your printer:
a. Plug the USB cable to your printer and the other end to your Mac.
b. On your Mac click on the system preference option.
c. Now click on Printer and Scanners.
d. The available printers list will appear on the screen, select your Canon PIXMA MG5350.
- Print the Test page:
a. Print a test page to confirm the setup.
Canon MG5350 setup on iPhone & iPad
Setting up Canon PIXMA MG5350 – IOS:
- Connect to the Wifi:
a. Turn on your Canon PIXMA MG5350.
b. Make sure your Iphone/Ipad is connected to the secure internet connection.
c. Ensure that your printer and device are on the same network.
- Install the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY App:
a. Go to the app store.
b. Search for the “Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY App”.
c. Download and install the app.
- Add printer:
a. Go to the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app.
b. Now follow the on-screen instructions to add your printer.
c. App will search for the available printers, Select your Canon PIXMA MG5350 from the available list.
d. Click on Add printer.
- Print the Test page:
a. Print a test page to confirm the setup.
Canon MG5350 setup on Android
Setting up Canon PIXMA MG5350 – Android:
- Install the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY App:
a. Download the app from the play store.
- Add the printer on the app:
a. Click on the add icon on the phone.
b. Now click on the register printer.
c. Select your Canon PIXMA MG5350.
d. Now the printer is installed on your phone.
- Print the Test page:
a. Print a test page to confirm the setup.
Canon MG5350 setup on Chromebook
Setting up Canon PIXMA MG5350 – Chrome OS (Wifi) :
- Connect the printer to Wifi connection:
a. On the printer’s LCD screen, press the Home button.
b. Use the arrow keys to go to Setup > Wireless LAN setup > press OK.
c. Select Standard Setup and press OK.
d. It will search for available networks. Select your Wi-Fi network and press OK.
e. Enter your Wi-Fi password using the onscreen keyboard.
f. Press OK to connect. Once connected, the Wi-Fi indicator light will stop blinking and stay solid.
- Add Printer:
a. Click the Settings icon.
b. In the Settings menu, click on Advanced at the bottom.
c. Click Printing and then Printers.
d. Your Canon PIXMA MG5350 should appear in the list if it’s connected to the same Wi-Fi.
e. Click Add.
If it doesn’t show up:
a. Click Add manually.
b. Enter the printer name (e.g., Canon MG5350).
c. Under Address, enter the printer’s IP address (you can find it on the printer under Settings > Network Settings > LAN Details).
d. Protocol: IPP
e. Queue: ipp/print
f. Click Add.
- Print the Test page:
a. Print a test page to confirm the setup.
USB Setup (Wired Setup):
- Connect the printer to USB Cable:
a. Plug the USB Cable into the printer and the other end to your Chromebook.
- Add printer:
a. Click the Settings icon.
b. In the settings menu, click on Advanced at the bottom.
c. Click Printing and then printers.
d. Click on the Add Printer option.
e. Your Canon PIXMA MG5350 should appear in the list if it’s connected to the same Wi-Fi.
f. Click Add.
If it doesn’t show up:
a. Click Add manually.
b. Enter the printer name (e.g., Canon MG5350).
c. Protocol: USB
d. Manufacturer: Choose Canon
e. Model: If MG5350 is not listed, choose Generic → Generic PostScript Printer (PCL) or IPP Everywhere.
f. Click Add.
- Print the Test page:
a. Print a test page to confirm the setup.
Troubleshooting Steps
- Printer not connecting to wi-fi:
- Possible Causes: Incorrect password, weak, signal or outdated firmware.
- Solutions:
- a. Ensure your Wi-Fi password is correct
- b. Place the printer close to the router
- c. Re-run Easy Wireless Connect
- d. Press Setup >Wi-Fi Setup >Easy Wireless Connect
- e. Restart the router and printer
- f. Check for firmware updates via Canon’s official website
- Print Not Detected by computer or mobile:
- Solutions:
- a. Ensure both printer and device are on the same Wi-Fi network
- b. Restart your printer and device
- c. Reinstall the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app (for mobile)
- d. For USB connection, ensure the cable is securely connected
- e. On Windows/Mac, reinstall the printer driver
- Paper Jam:
- Solutions:
- a. Turn off the printer
- b. Gently remove jammed paper from the rear tray, output slot, or inside the printer
- c. Check for torn paper pieces
- d. Restart the printer
- Poor Print Quality (Faded, Streaks, Missing Colors)
- Solution:
- a. Check ink levels and replace cartridges if needed
- b. Run Print Head Cleaning:
- c. Press Setup >Maintenance>Cleaning
- d. Perform Print Head Alignment via the same menu
- e. Ensure you’re using compatible paper
