Unboxing & Initial Setup

  1. Remove all packaging material and protective tapes from the printer
  2. Take out documentation material, power cord and other accessories from the box.
  3. Connect the power cord and turn ON the printer
  4. Install the ink cartridges
  5. Load paper into the paper tray

Canon MG2455 setup on Windows

Setting up Guide for Windows:

  1. Download Drivers and Software:
    • Select your Windows operating system and then download the full driver and software package from the provided links.
  2. Run the Installer:
    • Double-click the downloaded file and start the setup process by clicking “Next” or “Start setup”.
  3. Connect the Printer:
    • When prompted, connect the Canon MG2455 to your computer with a USB cable and turn on the printer. 
  4. Continue to follow the instructions in the installer to complete the software and driver installation. 
  5. Test the Printer:
    • A test print may be performed to ensure the printer is working correctly. 
  6. Finish Installation:
    • Once the installation is complete, you can click “Exit” to finish.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Nozzle Check:
    • If prints are streaked, blank, or have missing colors, print a nozzle check pattern to see if the print head is clogged
    • Head Cleaning: If the nozzle check pattern is incorrect, clean the print head through the printer’s maintenance menu. A deep clean may be needed for persistent issues.
  2. Check Ink Cartridges:
    • Ensure the protective tape has been removed from the new FINE cartridges and that they are installed correctly.
  3. Printer Offline
    • Power & Connections:Make sure the printer is turned on and that the USB cable (if used) is securely connected to both the printer and your PC.
    • Wi-Fi Network: If it’s a wireless printer, verify that it’s connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.
