The Canon MF443DW is a fast, efficient, and compact black-and-white multifunction laser printer designed for small-to-medium-sized businesses, It can print, copy, and scan and is notable for its intuitive touchscreen and strong wireless connectivity.

Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Remove all packaging material and protective tapes from the printer
- Take out documentation material, power cord and other accessories from the box.
- Connect the power cord and turn ON the printer
- Install the ink cartridges
- Load paper into the paper tray

Canon MF443DW setup on Windows
Setting up Guide for Windows:
- Install Drivers & Software
- Using CD (If Provided)
- Insert the CD that came with your printer.
- Search for “MF443DW”
- Download the latest drivers, MF Scan Utility, and Canon Toolbox for Windows
- Run the downloaded setup file and follow the prompts
- Connect the Printer
- Wireless (Wi-Fi) Setup
- On the printer’s control panel, press Menu
- Go to Network Settings > Wireless LAN Settings
- Select Yes when prompted to enable wireless LAN
- Choose SSID (Wi-Fi network) from the list
- Enter your Wi-Fi password
- Wait for confirmation of connection
- During the driver installation on your PC, select Wireless Connection and follow prompts
- USB Connection
- Connect the printer to your PC using a USB cable
- During driver installation, select USB Connection
- Wireless (Wi-Fi) Setup
- Add Printer to Windows
- Go to Control Panel Devices and Printers > Add a printer
- Windows should detect your Canon MF443DW Select it and complete the installation
- Print a test page from:
- Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Right-click MF443DW >Printer Properties >Print Test Page
Canon MF443DW setup on macOS
Setting up Guide for MAC:
- Download Drivers & Software
- Search for “MF 443DW”
- Download the latest Mac drivers, typically the UFR II Printer Driver and Scanner Driver
- Double-click the downloaded files and follow the installation instructions
- Connect the Printer
- Wireless (Wi-Fi) Setup on Printer Panel
- On the printer’s control panel, press Menu
- Navigate to Network Settings >Wireless LAN Settings
- Select Yes to enable wireless LAN
- Choose your Wi-Fi network (SSID) from the list
- Enter your Wi-Fi password
- Wait for confirmation of successful connection
- After this, your Mac should detect the printer over the same Wi-Fi network
- USB Connection (Optional)
- Connect the printer to your Mac using a USB cable
- Your Mac will attempt to automatically detect and configure the printer
- Wireless (Wi-Fi) Setup on Printer Panel
- Add Printer to Mac
- Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners
- Add scanner and Fax.
- Look for Canon MF443DW in the list (appears for both Wi-Fi and USB options)
- Select it and click Add
- Choose the appropriate driver (UFR II or Air Print if applicable)
- Test Printing & Scanning
- Open any document and print a test page
Canon MF443DW setup on iPhone & iPad
Setting up Guide for IOS:
- Using Air Print (No App Needed)
- The Canon MF443DW supports Apple Air Print, allowing direct printing from iOS without installing additional apps.
- Ensure your MF443 DW printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your iPhone or iPad
- On the printer, go to: Menu > Network Settings > Wireless LAN Settings
- Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password
- On your iPhone/iPad, open the document, photo, or email you want to print
- Tap the Share icon (square with arrow up)
- Select Print
- Choose your Canon MF443DW from the printer list
- Tap Print
Canon MF443DW setup on Android
Setting up Guide for Android:
- Install Canon PRINT Business App
- Open Google Play Store on your Android device
- Search for Canon PRINT Business
- Download and install the app
- Connect to the Printer
- Open Canon PRINT Business app
- Allow necessary permissions
- Tap Add Printer
- The app will search for available printers on the same Wi-Fi network
- Select your Canon MF443DW from the list
- Print or Scan:
- Print documents, photos, PDFs, web pages
- Scan documents and save them to your Android device
Canon MF443DW setup on Chromebook
Setting up guide for Chromebook:
- Print via Android App on Chromebook (If Supported)
- Open Play Store on your Chromebook
- Search for Canon PRINT Business
- Install the app
- Ensure your MF443DW is connected to the same Wi-Fi network
- Open Canon PRINT Business app
- Add your MF443DW printer (it should appear automatically)
- Print documents and photos from within the app
- Alternative Option: Save to PDF and Transfer
- If direct printing doesn’t work:
- On your Chromebook, choose Print > Save as PDF
- Transfer the PDF to your mobile device or Windows/Mac connected to the printer
- Print from there using Canon PRINT Business or regular PC setup
- Wired USB Printing on Chromebook
- Unfortunately, most Canon MF series printers, including the MF443DW,do not offer native USB support for Chrome OS.
Troubleshooting Steps
- Printer Not Connecting to Wi-Fi
- Possible Causes:
- Incorrect Wi-Fi password
- Printer out of range
- Network issues
- Solutions:
- Check Wi-Fi signal strength
- Reconnect to Wi-Fi:
- Menu Network Settings > Wireless LAN Settings > Select Network > Enter Password
- Restart your router and printer
- Ensure your Wi-Fi network isn’t hidden
- Ensure your printer and device (PC, mobile) are on the same network
- Possible Causes:
- Printer Not Detected on Computer or Mobile

- Device not on the same network
- Driver or app not installed properly
- Solutions:
- For Windows/Mac: Reinstall drivers from Canon’s official site
- For iOS/Android: Install Canon PRINT Business app and search for printer
- Disable VPN temporarily (can interfere with local devices)
- Reboot all devices

- Print Jobs Not Starting

- Print queue stuck
- Printer in error state
- Out of paper or toner
- Solutions:
- Check printer LCD for error messages
- Cancel all print jobs from:
- Windows > Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Right-click MF443DW> See What’s Printing >Cancel all jobs
- Ensure paper is loaded and toner is not empty
- Restart printer and try again
