Overview
The Canon i-SENSYS LBP6020B is a compact, single-function monochrome laser printer designed for personal or small office use.
Features
- Print Speed: It offers a professional print speed of up to 18 pages per minute (ppm) for A4 documents.
- High Quality Output: The printer delivers sharp, crisp text and detailed graphics with a maximum print resolution of up to 2400 x 600 dpi using Automatic Image Refinement technology.
- Compact Design: Its sleek, space-saving design (359mm x 249mm x 198mm) allows it to fit comfortably on most desks.
- Connectivity: Connection is via a USB 2.0 Hi-Speed interface. It is not network or Wi-Fi ready.
- Paper Handling: It includes a 150-sheet multi-purpose input tray and supports various media types and sizes, including A4, Letter, envelopes, labels, and heavy paper.
Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Remove all packaging material and protective tapes from the printer
- Take out documentation material, power cord and other accessories from the box.
- Connect the power cord and turn ON the printer
- Install the ink cartridges
- Load paper into the rear paper tray

Canon LBP6020B setup on Windows
Setting up Guide for Windows:

- Select your Windows version.
- Install the Driver
- Run the downloaded file (.exe).
- Follow the on-screen instructions:
- Accept the license agreement.
- Choose “Standard Installation” when prompted.
- Connect the printer via USB to your PC when instructed.
- Windows will detect the printer and finalize driver installation.
- Printer Settings (Optional)
- Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Ensure “Canon LBP6020b” is listed.
- Right-click the printer → Set as Default Printer (optional).
- Test Print
- Right-click the printer in Devices and Printers.
- Select Printer Properties > Print Test Page to confirm successful setup.

Setting up Guide for MAC:
- Install the Driver
- Open the downloaded
- Run the installer
- Follow on-screen prompts to complete installation
- Restart your Mac if prompted
- Add the Printer
- Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners
- Add scanner button to add a printer
- Your Canon LBP6020B should appear in the list
- Select the printer > Choose UFRII LT Driver if shown
- Click Add
- Test the Printer
- Open any document
- Print a test page to confirm everything works
Canon LBP6020B setup on Android
Setting up Guide for Android:
- Print via PC (Recommended)
- If your LBP6020B is connected to a Windows or Mac computer, share the printer on the network:
- Share the Printer
- On your PC/Mac, go to Printer Properties > Sharing Tab.
- Enable “Share this printer”.
- Use Android Printing Apps:
- Install Mopria Print Service or Canon PRINT Business from Google Play.
- Your Android device should detect the shared printer (if on the same Wi-Fi network).
- OTG Cable Connection (Limited Support)
- Some older Canon laser models allow USB OTG printing, but the LBP6000B is not officially supported for direct Android-to-printer USB OTG printing.
- You can test:
- Use a USB OTG adapter for your Android device.
- Connect the printer’s USB cable to the adapter.
- Install apps like NokoPrint or PrinterShare Mobile Print from Google
Canon LBP6020B setup on Chromebook
Setting up Guide for Chromebook:
- Connect and Set Up the Printer on your Windows/Mac as usual
- Enable Printer Sharing
- On Windows: Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers
- Right-click the printer >Printer Properties >Sharing Tab
- Enable “Share this printer”
- Chromebook Setup: Ensure the Chromebook is on the same Wi-Fi network
- Go to Settings > Advanced > Printing >Printers
- Click Add Printer, search for available network printers
Troubleshooting Steps
- Printer Not Detected by Computer (Windows or Mac)
- Check USB connection – ensure the cable is securely connected
- Try a different USB port
- Use the official Canon UFRII LT drivers
- Canon LBP6020B Drivers
- Restart your computer after driver installation
- Disable antivirus/firewall temporarily if blocking detection
- Printer Status is “Offline”
- Ensure the printer is powered ON
- Reconnect USB cable
- For Windows:
- Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers
- Right-click Canon LBP6020B > See what’s printing
- If paused, click Resume Printing
- Paper Jam
- Turn off the printer
- Open the front cover
- Carefully remove jammed paper
- Check inside the paper feed area and toner compartment
- Reload paper properly in the input tray
- Poor Print Quality (Faded, Streaks, Smudges)
- Remove toner and gently shake to redistribute toner evenly
- Clean the printer:
- Open front cover
- Remove toner cartridge
- Clean internal area with a lint-free cloth (avoid touching the drum surface)
- Check paper type and quality
