Overview
The Canon MAXIFY GX7192 is a wireless, all-in-one Mega Tank printer designed for high-volume, low-cost printing in a small office environment. It is a refillable ink tank system, which offers substantial savings on ink costs compared to traditional cartridge printers.

- Ink System: Utilizes a 4-color pigment-based continuous ink supply system (CISS) with high-yield ink bottles, providing up to 6,000 black or 14,000 color pages per full set of inks.
- Connectivity: Offers versatile connectivity options including high-speed USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi (2.4/5 GHz), and mobile printing solutions like the Canon PRINT app, Apple AirPrint, and Mopria Print Service.
- Speed: Delivers fast print speeds of approximately 24 ipm (images per minute) for black and 15.5 ipm for color documents.
- Display: Equipped with an intuitive 2.7″ color touchscreen for easy navigation and control.
- Versatility: Supports a wide variety of media types and sizes, including banners up to 1.2 meters in length, envelopes, labels, and various photo papers.
Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Remove all packaging material and protective tapes from the printer
- Take out documentation material, power cord and other accessories from the box.
- Connect the power cord and turn ON the printer
- Install the ink cartridges
- Load paper into the paper tray

Setting up Guide for Windows:
- Network Connection (if applicable):
- If connecting to a network, “Setup Guide to connect the printer to your wireless router. Ensure your computer or tablet is connected to the same network.
- USB Connection (if applicable):
- If using a USB connection, connect the printer to your computer with a USB cable.
- Installation:
- Automatic Driver Installation (Network/USB):
- If the printer is connected to the network or via USB, the printer driver should install automatically.
- Automatic Driver Installation (Network/USB):
- Add Printer (if needed):
- If the printer driver doesn’t install automatically, you may need to manually add the printer in your operating system’s settings.
- Test Print:
- Once the driver is installed, you can perform a test print to verify the setup.

Setting up Guide for MAC:
- Download the Software:
- Locate the software downloads for your operating system (macOS).
- Download the necessary drivers and setup software.
- Install the Software:
- Locate the downloaded file and double-click to start the installation.
- Install the software.
- Connect the Printer to Wi-Fi:
- Turn on your printer.
- Connect it to your Wi-Fi network.
- Add the Printer on your Mac:
- Go to System Settings on your Mac.
- Click on “Printers & Scanners”.
- Add a printer.
- Choose the appropriate drivers or software to use with the printer.
- Click “Add” to complete the process.
- Print a Test Page:
- After adding the printer, you can print a test page to verify the setup.
- Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners, select your printer, and click “Open Print Queue”.
- Click the “Print” button and select “Print Test Page”.

Setting up Guide for Android:
- Download the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app:
- Search for “Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY” in the Google Play Store and install it on your Android device.
- Turn on the printer:
- Connect the power cord and press the ON button.
- Launch the app:
- Open the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app on your Android device.
- Follow the in-app instructions:
- The app will guide you through the process of connecting the printer to your Wi-Fi network and your Android device. This may involve selecting your network name and entering the password.
- Complete the setup:
- The app will help you finalize the setup process, which may include registering the printer and configuring other settings.
- Print and scan:
- Once the setup is complete, you can print and scan documents using the app.

Setting up Guide for Chromebook:
- Power on:
- Locate the power button on your Chromebook and press it to turn on the device.
- Language and Network:
- Choose your preferred language and keyboard settings, then select “Let’s go”. Connect to a Wi-Fi network by selecting it from the list and entering the password if required.
- Enter your Google Account email or phone number and password. If you don’t have a Google Account, you can create one or browse as a guest.
- Continue Setup:
- Follow any remaining on-screen instructions, such as accepting terms of service and potentially setting up accessibility features or connecting to your Android phone for quick setup.
- Finalize:
- Once signed in, your Chromebook will finalize the setup process, potentially downloading updates and syncing your data.
Troubleshooting Steps

- Refer to the user manual:

- Check the printer’s connections:
- Ensure that the printer is properly connected to the computer and the power source. Try unplugging and replugging the cables.
- Try restarting the printer and computer:
- Sometimes a simple restart can resolve minor issues.
- Update the printer driver:
- Outdated drivers can cause problems. Check the Canon Europe support website for the latest driver for your operating system.
- Check for paper jams:

- Check the ink levels:
