The Canon PIXMA iX6810 is a wireless inkjet printer designed for business use, specifically for printing large format documents like spreadsheets, CAD drawings, and presentation charts up to A3+ size (13″ x 19″). It boasts high-resolution color printing (up to 9600 x 2400 dpi) and offers features like individual ink tanks, wireless connectivity (Wi-Fi and Ethernet), and compatibility with mobile devices for printing and scanning.

Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Remove all packaging material and protective tapes from the printer
- Take out documentation material, power cord and other accessories from the box.
- Connect the power cord and turn ON the printer
- Install the ink cartridges
- Load paper into the paper tray

Setting up Guide for Windows:
- Download the software:
- Download the “Full Driver & Software Package” for the iX6800 series
2. Run the installer:Locate the downloaded file and double-click it to start the process.
3. Connect the printer:
- During the setup, you’ll be prompted to connect the printer to your computer. You can choose either a USB connection or a wireless network connection.
- USB: Connect the printer to your computer using a USB cable.
- Wireless: Ensure your computer and printer are connected to the same wireless network.
4. The setup wizard will guide you through the rest of the installation.
5. Complete the installation:
- Once the installation is complete, you can access the printer’s functions.

Setting up Guide for MAC:
- Download the “Full Driver & Software Package”.
- Alternatively, you can download the “Setup” file separately.
2. Install the software:
- Locate the downloaded file
- Double-click the .dmg file to mount it as a disk image.
- Open the disk image and double-click the “Setup” file (or “Master Setup” file).
3. Connect the printer:
- USB Connection: Connect the printer to your Mac using a USB cable.
- Wireless Connection:Ensure your printer and Mac are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- The setup process will guide you through connecting to your Wi-Fi network.
- If you’re using a cableless setup method, the setup process will help you connect wirelessly.
4. Complete the setup:The setup process will detect the printer.
- Select your printer and complete the setup.
- Perform a print head alignment or test print.
5. Print using AirPrint (optional):If you are using an iOS device or Mac,
- You can also use AirPrint to print without installing the driver.
- Make sure your printer and device are on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Select the printer from the list of available printers in your print settings.

Setting up Guide for IOS:
1. Download the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app:
- Search for and download the app from the Apple App Store.
2. Connect to the same Wi-Fi:
- Make sure your iPhone or iPad is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Canon printer.
3. Register the printer:
- Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to register your printer. The app will search for available printers on the network.
4. Start Printing:
- Once registered, you can select your printer from within the app and choose to print photos or documents stored on your device.

Setting up Guide for Android:
1. Install the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app:
- Search for and download the app from the Google Play Store.
2. Connect your printer to your Wi-Fi network:
- If you have a wireless router, ensure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Android device.
- If you’re connecting directly to the printer (without a router), enable Wi-Fi on your Android device and connect to the printer’s network (SSID).
3. Register the printer in the app:
- Open the Canon PRINT app and follow the prompts to search for and register your printer.You may need to agree to the app’s terms and conditions and allow it access to your device’s location and nearby devices.
4. Print from your Android device:
- Once the printer is registered, you can select photos or documents.

Setting up Guide for Chromebook:
- Connect the Printer to your Wi-Fi Network:
- Access your printer’s settings through its control panel.
- Navigate to the wireless settings section.
- Connect your printer to your Wi-Fi network.
2. Add the Printer on your Chromebook:
- Open your Chromebook’s settings by clicking on the time in the bottom right corner and then selecting the settings icon.
- Go to “Printers and scanners” under the “Device” section.
- Add printer manually.
3. Printing from your Chromebook:
- When you want to print, select “Print” from the application you’re using.
- Adjust any print settings as needed and click “Print”.
Troubleshooting Steps
- Power and Connections:
- Ensure the printer is powered on, has ink cartridges properly installed, and is loaded with paper.
- USB Connection:
- If using a USB connection, make sure the cable is securely plugged into both the printer and the computer.
- Wireless Connection:
- If using a wireless connection, print a network configuration page to check the printer’s Wi-Fi status and ensure it’s properly connected to the network.
- Error Lights:
- Observe the printer’s lights. If the alarm lamp flashes orange, it indicates an error, according to Canon support. If the POWER lamp and alarm lamp flash alternately, it may require contacting support.
- Paper Jams:
- Check for and remove any jammed paper
