Overview
The Canon iX6800 is a high-performance, wide-format ink-jet printer designed for small offices and creative professionals. The iX6800 offers convenient wireless connectivity, supporting both Wi-Fi and Ethernet, as well as mobile printing via Apple AirPrint, Google Cloud Print, and Canon PRINT app, enabling seamless printing from smartphones, tablets, and cloud services

Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Unpack the printer, and connect to the power cable.
- Turn on the printer and install ink cartridges
- Load paper into the paper trays.

Setting it up on Windows
- Download drivers from the bottom of the page
- Open the downloaded file and follow onscreen instructions
- Choose connection method: USB or Wireless
- Select wireless LAN connection and follow prompts
- Press and hold the WiFi button until it flashes
- Complete setup using the printer list shown on your screen
- Allow Windows to complete installation
- Print a test page to confirm normal operation

Setting it up on Mac
- Download drivers from the bottom of the page
- Open the downloaded installer and follow on screen prompts
- Choose connection method: USB or Wireless
- USB: Connect the cable to the printer
- Wireless: Select Wireless LAN Connection during setup.
- Press and hold the printer’s Wi-Fi button until the light flashes
- Connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network using Canon’s setup utility
- Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
- Click +, select the iX6800 from the list, and click add.
- Print a test page to ensure normal operation

Setting it up on iOS
- Press and hold WiFi button until it flashes
- Press the WPS button on your router to connect the printer to Wi-Fi.
- Ensure your iOS device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.
- Download and install Canon Print app from the App Store
- Open the Canon Print app
- Tap Add Printer > Register Printer > Connect via Network.
- Select iX6800 from the list of detected printers.
- Open a document
- Tap share icon, then select Print
- Choose the iX6800 and tap Print

Setting it up on Android
- Press and hold WiFi button until it flashes
- Press the WPS button on your router to connect the printer to Wi-Fi.
- Open Google Play Store on the Android device
- Download and install Canon Print app
- Launch the Canon print app
- Tap Add Printer > Register Printer > Connect via Network.
- Select iX6800 from the list of available printers.
- Follow any additional on-screen prompts to complete configuration.
- Ensure your Android device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.
- Open a document or photo and select Print.
- Choose the Canon iX6800 and adjust settings as needed.
Canon IX6800 setup on Chromebook
Setting it up on Chromebook
- Press and hold the Wi-Fi button on the printer until the light starts flashing.
- Press the WPS button on your router within 2 minutes to connect the printer to your network.
- Ensure your Chromebook is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.
- Click the time in the lower-right corner of your screen.
- Go to Settings > Advanced > Printing > Printers.
- Click Add Printer, then select your Canon iX6800 from the list.
- Click Add to complete the setup.
- Print a test page to confirm normal operation
Troubleshooting Steps
- Check the power:
Check the printer plug and the wall outlet both are securely connected - Check the cartridges:
Make sure the ink cartridges are placed correctly. There should be enough ink and cartridges should be compatible with the model of the printer - Check paper:
If the papers are not arranged correctly, take out the paper tray and straighten them up. There should be no jams in the printer - Check WiFi connection:
Ensure your printer and device are connected to the same network
Make sure that the WiFi connection is stable - Reset the printer:
Resetting the printer can resolve many issues - Update printer drivers:
If drivers are outdated, check for newer ones
