Canon iP1800 is a single function printer. It offers Printing. Canon iP1800 is primarily designed for home use. Its cost-effectiveness, sharp print quality, and ease of use, makes it suitable for home users, students. Despite being budget-friendly, the Canon iP1800 delivers impressive print quality.

Unboxing & Initial Setup
- Take the printer out of the box.
- Take out all the accessories and remove the packaging.
- Remove and discard the protective tape from outside and inside.
- Connect the power cord to turn the printer on.
- Install the toner cartridges.
- Load paper into the paper trays.

Canon iP1800 setup on Windows
Set up guide for Canon iP1800 on Windows:
- Power ON the Printer:
To turn on the printer, plug in the power cord and press the Power button. - Connect the Printer to Your PC:
Plug the USB cable into the printer and connect the other end to your PC. - Download Drivers:
Download and install the full driver package from the link given at the bottom of the page. - Print the Test page:
To make sure it’s functioning, try printing a test page from Word or Notepad.
Canon iP1800 setup on macOS
Set up guide for Canon iP1800 on Mac:
- Power ON the Printer:
To turn on the printer, plug in the power cord and press the Power button. - Connect the Printer to Your Mac:
Plug the USB cable into the printer and connect the other end to your Mac. - Download Drivers:
Download and install the full driver package from the link given at the bottom of the page.
Select your macOS version from the dropdown (e.g., macOS Ventura, Monterey, etc.).
When the installation is completed, run the installer file and follow the on-screen instructions. - Add Printer to Mac:
Go to system settings > Printers & Scanners.
Click + to add a printer.
Mac will automatically detect Canon IP1800 via USB.
Select it and click Add. - Print the Test page:
To make sure it’s functioning, try printing a test page from Word or Notepad.
Troubleshooting Steps
- Check the power:
Check the printer plug and the wall outlet both are securely connected. - Check the cartridges:
Make sure the ink cartridges are placed correctly. Also, ensure that there is enough ink. - Check paper:
If the papers are not arranged correctly, take them out of the paper tray and straighten them up. Make sure that the paper tray is not jammed. You can now shut off the paper tray. - Check Wi-Fi Connection:
Ensure that your printer and device are connected to the same network.
Make sure that the WIFI connection is stable. - Update the Driver:
Outdated drivers may cause problems.
Check for the latest driver updates for your printer model.
Download and install the updated driver.
